They still don't get it. Right now FOX thinks that half of the tariffs are to be paid by Americans and half by "someone else". In fact, Americans pay 100% of the tariffs themselves. It's just additional fedral VAT by nature.

🤏 close

Here’s what could get more expensive with Trump’s new tariffs.

Well Kadi, some of us Americans do know. Unfortunately it’s the bufoons in charge who don’t.

Tariffs are a tax on American consumers. There's nothing wrong with trade deficits, especially for a reserve currency country. Econ 101, known for the past 200 years.

Doubtful 🤷🏻♂️😂 Took a while, even for the president….

Next step - explain that to him:

They still don't understand the difference between import duty on certain products regardless of nation of origin, domestic sales taxes (both of which the US imposes) and blanket import tariffs on imports from any one source nation. Fukwits.

concepts of an understanding

No where near it! When businesses are shuttered and gone bankrupt, they will still find a way to propagandise it as Biden fault. We are dealing with a cult. Let nature take its course, Darwin etc. 😎
