If the Nigerian government, under President Tinubu, can spend even 20% of what is being spent on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway on rehabilitating existing roads, we would not have as many bad roads as we have today. Look at the number of businesses suffering because transportation costs are so high due to bad roads. Food prices will continue to rise when farmers and businesses cannot easily transport their goods because there are no good roads. Imagine spending trillions of naira on a new road—reportedly billions of naira per kilometre—when there are already so many existing roads that could be rehabilitated to make life easier for Nigerians. But when you talk about it, they will come after you. Anyway, Nigerians, it is up to you now. The choice is yours.

I don’t know who curse us in the south. The northerners are enjoying good roads, constructing best roads, FG is spending so much time constructing new roads for them. You will NEVER hear anyone criticizing or complaining about them. They will even lobby for more!! But small roads that we are getting in the south, the southerners are criticizing and complaining. They are abusing the President for constructing new roads. Infact southern Presidential candidates are saying they will cancel the roads projects!! Who bewitched us? Why are we so jinxed?
