We are ensuring UNICEF stays focused on its core mandate so it can deliver extraordinary results for children. We need to focus on outcomes -- not bureaucracy. Humanitarian aid isn't aid unless it's accountable and effective. Ambassador Jeff Bartos

Children and families in Sudan are suffering from constant conflict in what has become the world’s largest hunger AND displacement crisis. UNICEF, World Food Programme, World Health Organization (WHO) and partners are doing everything we can to deliver aid to people in Sudan. But it is not enough.

After two years of fear and devastation, children in Gaza are in urgent need of safety and support. While UNICEF and partners have been scaling up our response since the ceasefire, its fragility is threatening children's safety and access to life-saving aid. As we continue to ramp up assistance to children and families on the ground, UNICEF MENA - يونيسف الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا’s Edouard Beigbeder emphasizes the need for the ceasefire to hold and for all crossings to open, to allow for a surge of aid.

The situation in #Gaza is catastrophic. With two months of an aid blockade, we don’t need to see photos of emaciated children to know people are hungry, and that children are weak and malnourished, with life-long consequences. Ceasefire, for the release of hostages and for access of humanitarian aid.

We are not abandoning the people of #Gaza. But we fail them every time we’re not able to get aid to those who need it. We need safety and security – for this, we need all hands on deck. My interview with UN News:

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s operations are meant to save lives. Instead they have led to mass casualties. The UN can deliver aid at scale without endangering civilians. Israel must let the UN save lives. We need a ceasefire now, to surge aid in and get the hostages home.

Turkish President Erdogan: I condemn Israel’s attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla, which set out to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians. This shows once again that Netanyahu’s government cannot even tolerate peace. The flotilla exposed Gaza’s tragedy and Israel’s crimes to the world. We are closely monitoring the situation, ensuring the safety of activists and citizens. Our priority: stop the bloodshed in Gaza and deliver aid freely. We will not abandon our Palestinian brothers and sisters. We will keep working with all our strength for a lasting ceasefire.

🇮🇱 Just visited the Kereem Shalom crossing on Gaza border near Rafah. We (European Muslim scholars) have seen the humanitarian aid very closely. There is a process of passing the humanitarian aid to Gaza. Once all aid has got clearance, it is loaded in lorries and enters into the Gaza Strip. Israel is doing its best to make sure the humanitarian aid reaches to the people of Gaza not Hamas. Credit to ELNET

.Under Secretary of War Michael Duffey "We would always like to have more weapons than we have right now, which is why we are so focused on engaging with our industrial partners, entering these deals, and ensuring that we ramp the production of these key missiles as quickly as possible. We are making up for lost time. The Biden Administration DID NOT DELIVER—they did NOT focus on developing the industrial base that we need in order to ensure that we have munitions for the foreseeable future. President Trump and Secretary Hegseth are delivering."
