We are going to kill public school. 1) Introducing Units.

2) The system isn't broken, its working exactly as intended. The world "school" refers to a group. You're forced to stick along with the pack. Even though TODAY we have the tools to teach each student more, faster.

3) At @units_school we prepare you for a post-agi world. Where you have to use AI. Where every unfair advantage is one you must use. Where each project is work you'd actually do in the real world. The schools that ban AI are doing a disservice to our future workforce.

4) Starting with high school. If you are young and ambitious, this is for you. Learn a Unit. Apply it the same day. Graduate faster while building real world skills. It is no longer enough to get high grades. The world cares about what you can and have actually done.

I like the vision, but "Units" sounds like the thing you want to replace ngl 😆

1. it’s a play on words. school means group, units signals a focus on individualized + personalized education 2. why would we want to replace units? breaking up complex subjects into smaller steps is fantastic for learning

it kind of collided with other connections I had in my brain. when I hear units, I think of structure and fixed rules. I think of gray soviet apartment buildings: identical, mass-produced blocks 😅 - each is an "individual unit", but they are still all exactly the same it also reminded me of factorio and its factory units 👀 from that standpoint it sounded less individual/creative and more like school

i like the idea, great for homeschooling. but i think school is also for building social skills & some life experience, any way of solving for that?

this is for homeschoolers, virtual students or kids who want to earn accelerated credits towards their diploma while still in high school in september we’re opening our first in person locations. but for the most part homeschooled students never have social problems.
