I took it only for the first year because of the heavily loaded welcome benefits, referral bonus points, elite hotel memberships and premium travel privileges, many of which are quite useful for my upcoming travel plans. ✈️🌍 The premium lounge programs are a nice add-on, but for me the real value lies in: 🏨 Hotel memberships 🎁 Welcome benefits ✈️ Travel privileges 🎯 Referral bonus points Looking at the overall value proposition, my effective first-year cost is negligible for my use case. Will I renew it next year? Most probably not, unless they provide a great renewal offer😄 But as a one-time experience, the unboxing, welcome gifts, premium memberships and overall treatment make it a true Platinum experience. 🤩 #creditcard #spendwisely #creditcard

Founder and CEO of Cassator Corp, Dmytro Ivanov, addressed the community and shared the latest news about the Sl8 project. For your convenience, a text version of the video message has also been added below. © Hi everyone! I finally had a chance to record a few video messages for you, especially for those who are upset about the price drop or feel that nothing is happening with the project. I want to explain what is happening now and what we are planning to do next. Once again, greetings from Austin, Texas! Let me start with the most obvious point: the price has indeed fallen, and quite significantly. I do not know who is selling tokens at such a price, but I have also occasionally had to sell some of my own tokens when I needed money for various expenses. So I understand why people do it, although, of course, I now regret my own sales. Now let me tell you what we continue to work on and what comes next. First, we are preparing our company to attract traditional investment from angel investors and venture capital firms. Over the past few months, we have significantly updated our website and prepared a professional pitch deck. We are now finalizing a detailed financial model, projections, and other materials required for due diligence and for having meaningful discussions with potential investors in a language they understand. I also want to tell you why I feel that I have been very lucky lately. I live in a skyscraper where several concierges work. I became good friends with one of them. I told him about my company and what we are working on. I also helped him send money to his relatives who live far away through Binance without spending a large amount on fees. That is how we started talking more and became friends. A few months ago, I was picking up some packages from him when he suddenly asked me, “Listen, there are some investor events taking place here. Would you be interested in meeting the people who attend them?” I replied, “Of course I’m interested. Tell me more.” He then sent me the contact details of the person who organizes these events. I reached out to him, and we arranged a meeting. During our conversation, it turned out that we not only lived in the same building, but also on the same floor, just a couple of doors apart. We immediately found common ground and got along very well. I told him what we were working on and why our project was interesting. He was very impressed because our startup is truly unusual and stands out from the other local projects. In terms of scale, we are dozens of times larger than many of them. We met several more times, and eventually invited him to join our team. He is now our Head of Fundraising. He helps us prepare all the necessary documents and build the entire investor relations process: how we will organize meetings, present the company, and position the project to potential investors in Texas and beyond. That is the latest news. I believe we were genuinely very lucky because he is extremely proactive and has direct, personal connections with real investors rather than just remote contacts. His network includes millionaires and even several billionaires. One of them has a net worth of around four billion dollars, and he knows these people personally. I have already attended one of these events. We are now in discussions with several potential investors and have already made some promising progress that could bring us strong results. So we continue moving forward in this direction. We already have potential candidates to launch on our human tokenization platform. These could be truly large and significant launches, but bringing them to life will require a substantial budget. After the launch of my token, we understand that every new project must be prepared and executed at the highest possible level. We cannot allow a situation where something goes wrong or the launch fails to gain proper momentum. That is why every new launch must be thoroughly prepared and have the strongest possible chance of success. So we already have promising candidates to launch, and now we are preparing to raise funding. The last time we raised money from traditional investors in exchange for equity, rather than through crypto, was more than four years ago, almost five. Wish us luck. I believe we will have great news very soon, and it will be important for you as well.

Announcing DreamDojo: our open-source, interactive world model that takes robot motor controls and generates the future in pixels. No engine, no meshes, no hand-authored dynamics. It's Simulation 2.0. Time for robotics to take the bitter lesson pill. Real-world robot learning is bottlenecked by time, wear, safety, and resets. If we want Physical AI to move at pretraining speed, we need a simulator that adapts to pretraining scale with as little human engineering as possible. Our key insights: (1) human egocentric videos are a scalable source of first-person physics; (2) latent actions make them "robot-readable" across different hardware; (3) real-time inference unlocks live teleop, policy eval, and test-time planning *inside* a dream. We pre-train on 44K hours of human videos: cheap, abundant, and collected with zero robot-in-the-loop. Humans have already explored the combinatorics: we grasp, pour, fold, assemble, fail, retry—across cluttered scenes, shifting viewpoints, changing light, and hour-long task chains—at a scale no robot fleet could match. The missing piece: these videos have no action labels. So we introduce latent actions: a unified representation inferred directly from videos that captures "what changed between world states" without knowing the underlying hardware. This lets us train on any first-person video as if it came with motor commands attached. As a result, DreamDojo generalizes zero-shot to objects and environments never seen in any robot training set, because humans saw them first. Next, we post-train onto each robot to fit its specific hardware. Think of it as separating "how the world looks and behaves" from "how this particular robot actuates." The base model follows the general physical rules, then "snaps onto" the robot's unique mechanics. It's kind of like loading a new character and scene assets into Unreal Engine, but done through gradient descent and generalizes far beyond the post-training dataset. A world simulator is only useful if it runs fast enough to close the loop. We train a real-time version of DreamDojo that runs at 10 FPS, stable for over a minute of continuous rollout. This unlocks exciting possibilities: - Live teleoperation *inside* a dream. Connect a VR controller, stream actions into DreamDojo, and teleop a virtual robot in real time. We demo this on Unitree G1 with a PICO headset and one RTX 5090. - Policy evaluation. You can benchmark a policy checkpoint in DreamDojo instead of the real world. The simulated success rates strongly correlate with real-world results - accurate enough to rank checkpoints without burning a single motor. - Model-based planning. Sample multiple action proposals → simulate them all in parallel → pick the best future. Gains +17% real-world success out of the box on a fruit packing task. We open-source everything!! Weights, code, post-training dataset, eval set, and whitepaper with tons of details to reproduce. DreamDojo is based on NVIDIA Cosmos, which is open-weight too. 2026 is the year of World Models for physical AI. We want you to build with us. Happy scaling! Links in thread:

is our AI project to make computing feel more human L A N D E R Here are the 4 best demo videos of the magic of DATA in action. DATA is a personalized assistant who knows and remembers every conversation you have with it accross your iPhone, Mac, iPad, Watch, Texts, Emails, and HomePods. You can talk to DATA right in your AirPods or text it just like a person. DATA can read, write, understand, speak any language, and translate between them. It can help with real work and home life tasks like research, writing, scheduling, reminders, and triage. And it's easily customizable so you can have DATA automatically do whatever you want whenever you want with just a few taps and natural language instructions - no code required. DATA can do just about anything you can do on your phone on your behalf automatically including very advanced things Siri can't, like summarizing, analyzing, and drafting replies or writing documents. It can read web pages, texts or emails you show it, or PDFs of any kind. It can do other real world tasks that require complex analysis and common sense too, like: - figure out where the nearest beach is (even when you're in Colorado) and instantly fetch the current surf report up to the current minute. - summarize and drafting replies to entire email chains - plan out entire work projects or multi-day vacations on your calendar - sketch out ideas for you in picture form or drafting Notion pages with charts and graphs. DATA can also use its own judgement to determine when to run an action or not, even if you've scheduled it, allowing you to make VERY complex automations that require many different inputs to make a decision, like for example: - only opening the blinds on your lunch break if it's sunny out and you're working from home. DATA works natively and easily with Apple HomeKit & other shortcuts. DATA can also take initiative and check in with you throughout the day by voice or text and proactively send messages to you and others on your behalf based on your personal and professional goals, current tasks, and calendar. DATA can integrate with many apps on your phone, and is compatible with multiple large AI language models. I've gotten to make a few demo videos that I think really capture how powerful DATA can be for every day life. Here they are all in one tweet. Make sure your sound is on as you watch them. 1. This is the first demo video I ever made from April 19th, 2023. It walks through all the ways you can interact with and use the DATA shortcuts. Everything from saying "Hey Siri" to tapping on custom apps on your home-screen. 2. The second demo video was made May 5 and is an example use case I made of how commands work - commands allow DATA to actually run actions on your phone like taking pictures and sending messages. This demo shows me taking a picture of an email template, and data drafting an email based on that template. It's gotten much better at realizing when it has just run a command and incorporating that information naturally into the conversation now, especially on GPT-4. 3. This third Commands video, May 12 is a walkthrough of ALL the phone functions that commands allow DATA to do: sending texts and emails, making pictures, seeing pictures, reading things, and scheduling events. Since this video we've added auto-replies to texts and emails, summarizing documents, writing documents, health app data retrieval, web surfing, scheduling alarms, making playlists, and more. 4. This last demo I made today, June 15, shows everything DATA does working in concert to generate a crazy detailed morning briefing with background music - including making a unique playlist and giving a detailed analysis of current events complete with Ski & Surf conditions near me other live information from the internet. So now that you've seen everything DATA can do, what's the coolest feature? What features should we add? What would you use DATA for first?

If an AI can control 1,000 robots to perform 1 million skills in 1 billion different simulations, then it may "just work" in our real world, which is simply another point in the vast space of possible realities. This is the fundamental principle behind why simulation works so effectively for robotics. Real-world teleoperation data scales linearly with human time (< 24 hrs/robot/day). Sim data scales exponentially with compute. There are 3 big trends for simulators in the near future: 1. Massive parallelization on large clusters. Physics equations are "just" matrix math at their core. I hear GPUs are good at matrix math 🔥. One can run 100K copies of simulation on a single GPU. To put this number in perspective: 1 hour of wallclock compute time gives a robot 10 years (!!) of training experience. That's how Neo was able to learn martial arts in a blink of an eye in the Matrix Dojo. 2. Generative graphics pipeline. Traditionally, simulators require a huge amount of manual effort from artists: 3D assets, textures, scene layouts, etc. But every component in the workflow can be automated: text-to-image, text-to-3D mesh, and LLMs that write Universal Scene Description (USD) files as a coding exercise. RoboCasa is one example of a prior work. 3. End2end neural net that acts as simulator itself. This is still bluesky research and quite far from replacing a graphics pipeline, but we are seeing some exciting signs-of-life based on video gen models: Sora, Veo2, CogVideoX, Hunyuan (text-to-video); and action-driven world models: GameNGen, Oasis, Genie-2, etc. Genesis does great on (1) for certain tasks, shows good promises on (2), and could become a data generation tool for reaching (3). Its sim2real capabilities for locomotion are good, but there's still a long way to go for contact-rich, dexterous manipulation. It shows a bold vision and is on the right path to providing a virtual cradle for embodied AI. It is open-source and puts a streamlined user journey at the front and center. I had the privilege to know Zhou Xian and play a small part in his project since a year ago. Xian has been crunching code non-stop on Genesis with a very small group of core devs. He often replied to my messages at 3 am. Zhenjia Xu from our GEAR team helped with sim2real experiments in his spare time. Genesis is truly a grassroot effort with an intense focus on quality engineering. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing the simulation ecosystem bloom. Robotics should be a moonshot initiative owned by all of humanity. Congratulations.

#VPDNews: The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is adding new cutting-edge technologies to help keep the city safe. The new tools enhance frontline officer awareness, strengthen accountability, and build on the Department’s mission to protect public safety while balancing the privacy of both the community and VPD officers. In the air, VPD is the first police agency in Canada to deploy Skydio X10 drones for a Drone as First Responder Program. After extensive testing, six of the remote-piloted drone systems will be deployed. The drones have already been in testing for several weeks and are fully approved by Transport Canada. “The potential of the Skydio drone systems in our work is impressive for many reasons, not least of which is they will be able to link with our body-worn cameras,” said Inspector Wade Rodrigue, with the VPD’s Force Options Training Section. “For example, if an officer is in trouble, perhaps being assaulted, they can tap their camera three times which will automatically deploy a Skydio drone to their exact location at the direction of the pilot in command. Pilots can also fly the drones to a crime in progress, arrive first, and send their video feeds to responding officers on the ground as well as the Operations Command Center (OCC). That gives us better intel on what’s happening and can help responding officers to pursue suspects who may try and evade them.” The VPD will continue to adhere to its posted policyand procedures as well as those prescribed by Transport Canada and Nav Canada with respect to the operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) assets. The weatherproof Skydio drone launch/landing pods are installed on rooftops at strategic locations throughout Vancouver, including the VPD’s Tactical Training Centre. The drones will only record video when that function is activated by a pilot, and only when appropriate as per policy. Body-worn cameras are also expanding in function. The Axon body cameras used by VPD now have the ability to translate language in real time with Axon Assistant, allowing officers to understand at the push of a button whatever is being said to them in over 50 languages, and to have their reply translated into the language recognized as being spoken. Real-Time Translation adds to VPD’s current translation offerings and will be used when a quick translation is needed. “When you consider how multicultural Vancouver is, this translation ability is a game-changer,” said Sergeant Dermot O’Boyle. “We want to be able to help everyone in our city, including those who may not be fluent in English. Being able to understand what they’re telling us is a critical first step to getting them the help they need.” Body-worn camera footage can also now be live-streamed to the VPD’s Operations Command Centre so personnel there can see what the officer is seeing and dispatch additional resources as needed. This can be done at the officer’s request or based on the priority of the call when an urgent situation is developing. In addition, Axon’s real-time operations platform, Fusus, improves visibility and coordination across responding units and partner agencies by enabling Operations Centre personnel to view RPAS and body-worn camera video according to pre-determined operating protocols. Other new tools entering service include: ➡️ 73 Fleet 3 in-car video systems with automated license plate recognition cameras (ALPR) across the VPD fleet, helping officers spot vehicles of interest faster which are already proving effective, with one ALPR-equipped cruiser flagging 22 uninsured vehicles in just three hours ➡️ Holsters for conducted energy weapons and service weapons that automatically activate body-worn cameras when drawn, capturing critical moments right away “Combined, these technologies create a system that helps improve decision-making, response times, and overall public safety in Vancouver,” said Kevin Bernardin, Superintendent of Innovation and Technology at the VPD. All are designed with responsible AI and data use at their core, with safeguards for secure data handling, controlled access, and auditability. The AI does not make decisions about an individual, rather it gives the VPD the ability to respond more appropriately to emerging situations. Data is managed in alignment with local governance requirements, helping ensure it remains protected and under appropriate jurisdictional control, while giving VPD confidence that sensitive information is handled in accordance with British Columbia privacy standards. #VPD Drone Policy:

Hermes + Claude + Higgsfield MCP + ViralBuilder = 💰💰💰 Four tools. One prompt chain. Hook to finished video in 10 minutes. I built a Claude skill that writes shot-by-shot Higgsfield prompts from a single creative brief. ViralBuilder tells you what's winning. The skill turns it into a production-ready prompt. Higgsfield renders it. No creative director. No guessing. No separate tools. Here is the setup: Higgsfield MCP → Open Claude Code → Settings → Connectors → Enter: → Connect your account Hermes → The agent layer running underneath Claude Code → It holds your skills, crons, memory, and routing rules → When you prompt Claude, Hermes feeds it the context it needs ViralBuilder (like Gethookd) → The winning ecom video database → Scrapes top performing ecom videos across platforms → Claude reads the data and extracts what styles, hooks, and formats are actually scaling The skill: video-prompt-builder → Installed inside Claude via Hermes → Takes a creative brief and outputs a full shot-by-shot prompt → Covers camera work, effects, transitions, pacing, and energy arc → Every output is structured for Higgsfield to render without ambiguity No switching apps. No export steps. Everything runs from one place. ▸ FIND WINNING CREATIVE ANGLES ViralBuilder tells you what the market already validated. Claude reads it and extracts the pattern. Prompts to run: "Search ViralBuilder for the top performing ecom videos in [niche] over the last 21 days. Extract the 3 dominant hook styles and rank by view velocity." "Pull the winning video formats in [niche] from ViralBuilder. Which opening 3 seconds appears most across videos spending over $10k?" "Find what video style is scaling right now in [niche] for the US market. UGC, talking head, or product demo. Filter for videos with over 1M views." "Pull the last 30 days of viral ecom hooks in [niche] from ViralBuilder. Cluster by emotional trigger. Which cluster has the most longevity?" You are not guessing at angles. You are reading what the market already spent money validating. ▸ BUILD THE PROMPT WITH THE SKILL This is where the video-prompt-builder skill takes over. You give Claude the winning angle. The skill outputs a complete shot-by-shot prompt with effects, transitions, pacing, and energy arc ready to fire into Higgsfield. Prompts to run: "Use the video-prompt-builder skill. Brief: 15-second UGC ad for [product] in [niche]. Hook style: [style from ViralBuilder]. Tone: direct to camera, US English. Output the full shot-by-shot effects timeline, effects inventory, density map, and energy arc." "Use the video-prompt-builder skill. The dominant hook in [niche] this week is [hook]. Build a 10-second product video prompt that opens with a speed ramp into a close-up product reveal. Include a signature visual effect and a low-density CTA landing." "Use the video-prompt-builder skill. Brief: replicate the pacing and energy of a [style description] video for [product]. Target duration: 20 seconds. Output all four sections. Then generate the video with Higgsfield using the shot-by-shot prompt." The skill outputs four sections every time: → Shot-by-shot effects timeline with camera, movement, and transitions per shot → Master effects inventory showing every technique used and where → Effects density map showing high, medium, and low intensity across the timeline → Energy arc describing how the video opens, builds, and lands That output goes directly into Higgsfield. No rewriting. No translating. ▸ GENERATE THE CREATIVE Claude writes the brief via the skill. Higgsfield MCP builds the video. Both happen in the same session. Prompts to run: "Use the video-prompt-builder skill to write a 15-second UGC prompt for [product]. Hook in the first 3 seconds, speed ramp into product reveal, slow-motion CTA landing. Then generate with Higgsfield in 9:16 format." "Build 3 prompt variations on this winning angle: [angle]. Each variation opens with a different effect — speed ramp, digital zoom, whip pan. Use the video-prompt-builder skill for each. Then generate all three with Higgsfield." "Use the video-prompt-builder skill. Brief: problem-solution ad for [product], 20 seconds, US market. Problem shot at high density, product reveal at medium, result and CTA at low. Generate with Higgsfield in 9:16." No separate tool. No file transfer. The math before this stack: Brief: 30 minutes Script: 1 hour Creative production: 2 to 3 hours Agency or freelancer cost: $500 to $2,000 per creative With this stack: Hook to finished creative: 10 minutes Cost per creative: tool subscription, a fraction of agency rate 5 product tests in the time it used to take to brief one Bad product tests are where US ad budget disappears. $600 to $1,500 per failed test, before you even know if the angle works. This stack shows you what the market already validated before you spend a dollar on production. Hermes = your context layer. Brand, goals, past performance. Claude is always informed. ViralBuilder = your winning video database. See exactly what styles, hooks, and formats are scaling before you produce anything. video-prompt-builder skill = the translation layer. Turns a creative brief into a structured, production-ready Higgsfield prompt every time. Claude = the brain. Reads the market, writes the brief, chains the tools. Higgsfield MCP = the output. Video generated directly from the prompt. No export step. Four tools. One session. 10 minutes. Comment + RT "STACK" and I'll DM you the full workflow + the video-prompt-builder skill file.

This is part 2 of a 2 part post (see part 1 here Below is a structured analysis to demonstrate the validity of using buyers of Veritaseum #SmartMetal to buy into and sell compute from globally aggregated cell phone compute pools - directly compeiting with the big guys - Google, Amazon and Microsoft cloud businesses. We discuss estimates, business model propositions, and potential economic outcomes, but first, see my Executive Global Article on Zero Profit Models( and purchase Veritaseum SmartMetal here - Can you really disintermediate the most profitable revnues of t $6.7 trillion worth of technology cloud providers? Well, the fact that it is among, if not the, most profitable of their revenue drivers is a very material clue! Step 1: Estimating the Number of High-End Smartphones Globally As of early 2025, approximately 7.5 billion smartphones are actively used worldwide. Considering that: About 30% of global smartphones are high-end (comparable or superior to an iPhone X; for instance, Samsung Galaxy S22/S23 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max with A18 chips, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or newer). Thus, approximately 2.25 billion high-end smartphones exist today (30% of 7.5B). Step 2: Aggregate Compute Power Estimation (Idle Capacity) Average Computational Capacity per High-End Smartphone: A high-end phone has roughly: CPU: ~1 to 1.5 TFLOPS GPU: ~1.5 to 2 TFLOPS Average Idle Compute per Phone: 1 TFLOPS (CPU) + 1.5 TFLOPS (GPU) = ~2.5 TFLOPS idle. Total Potential Compute Power: 2.25B smartphones × 2.5 TFLOPS each ≈ 5,625,000,000 TFLOPS (5.625 ExaFLOPS) Comparison to Cloud Vendors: Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud combined currently deploy approximately ~1 to 2 ExaFLOPS of continuous computing power. Thus, aggregate idle compute power from high-end smartphones (5.625 ExaFLOPS) exceeds the largest cloud vendors combined by at least 2.8x. Step 3: Proposed Business Model ("Zero Margin Trustless Model") Following Middleton’s economic principles, a decentralized marketplace based on his IP (SmartMetal Rounds and patented protocols) would allow individual users to rent their smartphones’ idle compute power. The economics would follow: Revenue Structure: Compute resources provided by phone owners (children, elderly, economically disadvantaged communities) rented to consumers (AI firms, universities, research institutions, enterprises). Offered at 10% above net cost ("as close to free as possible" per the attached articleExecutive Global articl…). Revenue Distribution: SmartMetal Owners (phone owners): Receive 20% of net revenue generated. Platform Cost & Overhead: Costs for electricity, network management, and maintenance (approximately 70% of net revenue). Intellectual Property Licensing (Middleton’s IP): A modest licensing fee—around 10% (aligned with Middleton’s zero-margin, IP-licensing-centric model). Step 4: Revenue Estimation Example Assumptions: Average monthly idle compute contribution per phone: 4 hours/day, 30 days = 120 hours/month. Market price for decentralized high-performance computing: approximately $0.10 per TFLOP-hour. Revenue per Smartphone per Month: Compute provided: 2.5 TFLOPS × 120 hrs = 300 TFLOP-hours Revenue at $0.10 per TFLOP-hour: 300 × $0.10 = $30/month per smartphone Aggregate Monthly and Annual Revenue: Monthly revenue (2.25 billion phones): $30 × 2.25B ≈ $67.5 billion Annual revenue potential: $67.5B × 12 months = $810 billion annually Distribution of Annual Revenue: SmartMetal Round Owners (20%): $810B × 20% ≈ $162 billion/year Operational Cost (70%): $810B × 70% ≈ $567 billion/year Middleton IP Licensing (10%): $810B × 10% ≈ $81 billion/year Thus, the total economic benefit is substantial, particularly transformative for economically disadvantaged participants (children, elderly, developing regions). Step 5: Practical Impact & Social Value Impact on Children & Young Adults: Empowerment through earning potential (around $360 annually per child smartphone owner). Practical, intuitive introduction to economics, technology, and entrepreneurship through gamified interfaces and secure, decentralized platforms. Impact on Elderly and Economically Disadvantaged Communities: Significant supplemental income (potentially exceeding many pension plans or assistance programs). Bridging the technology gap, ensuring inclusive participation in global digital economies. Step 6: Strategic Value & Market Positioning Middleton's patented Zero Margin Trustless Model ("ZMTM")Executive Global articl… creates a highly attractive, low-cost computational offering. Competing directly with incumbent cloud providers: The computational marketplace can massively disrupt cloud computing with lower fees and broader global reach. Leveraging Middleton’s IP and SmartMetal Rounds, it creates defensible competitive barriers and immense value for early adopters. Step 7: Driving Middleton’s Peer-to-Peer Economy As described in Middleton’s visionExecutive Global articl…, this marketplace underpins a global peer-to-peer economy, transforming idle smartphone resources into meaningful economic output. The P2P economy will leverage: AI-driven autonomous economic agents. Secure blockchain-based IP rights enforcement. Economic democratization by redistributing traditional cloud revenues directly to everyday device owners. Summary & Strategic Conclusion Implementing a decentralized compute platform powered by high-end smartphones and Middleton’s patented Zero Margin Trustless Model presents enormous economic potential, far exceeding current major cloud vendors combined. With annual revenues estimated up to $810 billion, and meaningful income distribution to disadvantaged demographics, this innovative model could dramatically reshape the global computational economy, achieve significant social impacts, and provide the backbone for Middleton’s envisioned peer-to-peer decentralized economy.

$ASTS: 🚨🇳🇿 2DEGREES AND AST SPACEMOBILE TEST VOICE CALLS, VIDEO CALLS AND MOBILE BROADBAND DATA SESSIONS OVER STANDARD 4G AND 5G HANDSETS IN NEW ZEALAND DURING THE MONTH OF AUGUST "HI MARK - IT'S MARK!" 😁 2degrees has opened a satellite ground station in Marton and completed voice-call and broadband data tests on standard smartphones through AST SpaceMobile's network. The facility is among the first commercial AST SpaceMobile ground stations worldwide and is intended to support the rollout of direct-to-device satellite mobile services in New Zealand. Paul Goldsmith, Minister for Media and Communications and Minister for Space, opened the site as 2degrees marked a new stage in its satellite connectivity programme. The Marton station will connect with 2degrees' core network and support voice, data and messaging services for users outside existing mobile coverage. Engineers from 2degrees and AST SpaceMobile have been testing the system during August. The trials included voice calls, video calls and mobile data sessions using standard 4G and 5G handsets rather than dedicated satellite phones or extra hardware. 2degrees said it has invested millions in the local ground station. It also said calls, data and messages on the service are designed to originate and terminate on the 2degrees core network without passing through another country or jurisdiction. Mark Callander, Chief Executive, 2degrees, described the project as a response to persistent coverage gaps in New Zealand. "AST SpaceMobile approaches satellite connectivity in a unique way. The service is designed to offer voice calling, data and SMS, extending connectivity into places that have traditionally been difficult to serve. 2degrees has invested millions in building a ground station locally, providing access to advanced technology that will enable connectivity for Kiwis outside traditional coverage areas," said Mark Callander, Chief Executive, 2degrees. 2degrees has not given a launch date for customers. Further testing will continue before it confirms timings for trials and a commercial launch. Callander also linked the timing to the pace of AST SpaceMobile's satellite deployment. "AST SpaceMobile has a robust launch roadmap, and with each additional satellite deployed, service availability increases. We will offer the service commercially when service availability reaches a level we consider viable," said Callander. Global push AST SpaceMobile is building a direct-to-device satellite network through partnerships with mobile operators rather than standalone satellite handsets. It has agreements with more than 50 mobile network operators globally, including Verizon, AT&T and Rakuten, covering a combined subscriber base of nearly three billion. That operator-led model has become a key part of the emerging race to provide mobile coverage from space. Telecom groups are exploring satellite links as a way to extend service in remote and rural areas, where conventional mobile towers are harder to justify on cost grounds or face geographic constraints. New Zealand's terrain and dispersed population have made that challenge particularly acute in some parts of the country. For 2degrees, the Marton ground station provides domestic infrastructure as it seeks to add satellite links to its existing mobile network. Chris Ivory, Chief Commercial Officer, AST SpaceMobile, framed the New Zealand deployment as an early commercial step in the company's international expansion. "New Zealand's early adoption of AST SpaceMobile's technology and deployment of commercial ground infrastructure position the country at the forefront of space-based cellular broadband. Working alongside 2degrees, we are bringing a new satellite connectivity capability and advancing the integration of our networks to deliver voice, broadband data and SMS directly to everyday smartphones, without specialised devices," said Chris Ivory, Chief Commercial Officer, AST SpaceMobile. 🛸 Vegas UFOs 🛸 Wanna support my efforts? Info. is at the end. And, as always, my comments are in ( ). "Jim Dolan (owns Sphere) and Jane Rosenthal made me an offer: 'Could you build an observatory on top of the Sphere?' Dolan is interested in finding whether there is some alien intelligence out there." ~Avi (Since I live here, this is pretty cool! It also doesn't hurt that the owner (Dolan) of my favorite basketball team (NEW YORK KNICKS), and 2nd-fav hockey team (New York Rangers) is one of the folks who helped get this started. Learn something new every day!) Dr. Avi Loeb: "This one is about Sphere in Las Vegas. As you know, it's the most impressive venue for entertainment in the world. Not only have I been [there], I've been to the top of the Sphere, which is like 120 meters high. Here you see me from inside the Sphere. This is the exosphere, by the way, it's covered with LED displays. We went all the way to the top. Why? "Because a year ago, two very distinguished visitors came to the front door of my home. By the way, lots of interesting people show up at my front door. This was Jim Dolan, who owns the Madison Square Garden, as you know, and also the Sphere, and jane rosenthal, the CEO of Tribeca Enterprises, and they made me an offer that I cannot refuse. I'm leading the Galileo Project to look for unusual objects around the Earth. And they said, 'Could you build an observatory on top of the Sphere?' "Because, you know, Jim Dolan really is interested in science, and especially in finding, you know, whether there is some alien intelligence out there. And I said, 'Of course! I will be delighted.' So that was September 2024, one year after the Sphere was opened with a concert, as you may know. I don't know if you've been there." Joe Rogan: "Yeah, I've been there for the UFC." Avi: "Yeah. UFC, exactly. So anyway, I was there just a few months ago with my research team. We went all the way to the top and installed, as you can see here, an array of infrared cameras that monitors the entire sky above Vegas, at all times. So you can see some of these images show the landscape of Vegas in the background. It's like a freckle, you know, on top of the Sphere, the exosphere, which is the biggest display on Earth. But we measured that there is not much light pollution, actually, and we can operate this observatory." (I'm surprised they measured "not much light pollution" since we all know that one nickname for Vegas is The City of Lights due to the millions of lights from the casinos on The Strip and surrounding area.) Avi: "We also put an array of visible-light cameras there, and it's operating, okay? And we hope to see a few million objects over the sky of Vegas and decide whether any of them has performance that deviates from the envelope of human-made technologies." (Absolutely nothing wrong with that. And if anybody craps on it, ask them if they're even interested in this subject.) Avi: "How do we do that? We have the Sphere as one point, but then we put two copies of that observatory ten kilometers away on a triangle. And that allows us to look at objects in the sky from different directions, just like we have two eyes so we can gage the distance. So here we have three eyes looking at the sky above Vegas, and we can tell the distance, the velocity, the acceleration of objects, and ask whether they are lying within the performance envelopes of human-made objects. And that would be amazing, it's very exciting." (It would be nice if there were people who could (allegedly) summon UAP to the Vegas area by meditating or using technology. Oh, wait... 👽 ) Avi: "I see that also as an opportunity to communicate to the public the excitement about science. That's what Jim Dolan and Jane Rosenthal really wanted to deliver. And I'm hoping that we will find something really anomalous. You know, because, as we know, the intelligence agencies are reporting to the U.S. Congress about objects they cannot identify. And, you know, that could be two things." (It can be more than two things. A few possibilities: Foreign adversaries. A human, non-state actor that has acquired a technological breakthrough. A previous human civilization that had a technological breakthrough, survived a cataclysm, and remains hidden on this planet in smaller numbers. A non-human intelligence that's based here and has always been here. A non-human intelligence from another planet. Time-traveling humans. Non-humans who exist in other dimensions that humans can't perceive with their normal senses. Aka Interdimensional or a shadow biome. Nod to Dr. Eric Davis for the latter.) ~ Avi: "They're getting, you know, the defense budget for 2026 is a trillion dollars, okay? If they tell us that with a trillion dollars, there are still objects they cannot identify above the U.S., they're not doing their job. They're not doing their job, and we should be worried." (100%. But there may be some folks in government who CAN identify some of these objects and they're keeping that information hidden for various reasons.) Avi: "Who sent these objects? Could it be adversarial nations? Okay? That's one possibility, which has to do with national security. The second possibility is that it's maybe something from outside of this Earth which would be even more significant." (Again, there are plenty of other possibilities.) Avi: "So either way, we need to figure this out. And I don't think I'm wasting my time leading the Galileo Project to figure out whether there are anomalies, you know, that go beyond human-made technologies. Because if it turns out that all the objects are human made, I will be happy to deliver the set of sensors we developed with the machine-learning software that we developed, to the Department of War 🇺🇸 so that they can employ it for national-security purposes. So my time was not wasted, as a scientist. I'm doing something useful to society." Rogan: "Of course." Avi: "The Department of War can use it. I have no problem. Everything made by humans, by the way, is boring, as far as I'm concerned. I want to see something from outside the solar system, which is not what the government should be about. The government should worry about national security, not about what lies outside the solar system. That's my job definition as an astrophysicist, okay?" (Not to sound like a broken record, but...some of what we're seeing that appears to be anomalous may be from within this solar system or, potentially, Earth-based.) Avi: "And so, I feel that this is worthy [of] pursuing, but the Galileo Project is really the first organized project that constructed a reliable set of sensors in an observatory configuration that does systematic study of the sky to collect millions of objects in the sky per year. We have three observatories, one in Las Vegas, as I mentioned. And by the way, this is the first time it's mentioned publicly, so..." Rogan: "That's amazing." Avi: "And another one in Massachusetts, and a third one in Pennsylvania. They were all funded by people who approached me and said, 'Here is the money.'" Rogan: "Let me ask you this: If it wasn't for those, how many observatories are looking for objects that are not from this Earth? Like, is that very rare?" Avi: "None." Rogan: "None?" Avi: "Well, there are some teams that are, you know, doing it, making a trip to collect some data." Rogan: "There is not constant observation?" Avi: "Of scientific-quality data? No." Rogan: "That's crazy." Avi: "That's crazy! That's what I'm saying." ~ (One of the groups that collected data was the AAWSAP/BAASS team headed up by Dr. James Lacatski. This is from my March 2024 post... Here's an excerpt from "Initial Revelations" by Lacatski, Kelleher and George Knapp. Chapter 18 Integrated Sensor Package to Detect UAP An autonomous sensor package to detect UAP for AAWSAP BAASS was developed by an engineering team located at Bigelow Aerospace. The following is a short summary of the specifications by which the BAASS engineering team began designing an autonomous sensor package. The project started at the conceptual stage with a meeting in late January 2009 and a complete operational prototype was built by August 2009. Design Goals: Device will operate unattended Autonomous data collection Survivability: weather, vandalism, critters Portable: “Two men and a truck.” Limited power No reliance on AC power Must be sized for full nighttime operations Sufficient communications May use WiFi, satellite phone, and cellular phone transmis- sions as the situation warrants Internet appliance for remote connection Short-range sensing (<20ft.) Long-range sensing (up to 5-mile planar radius, indeterminate altitude) Internal clock: GPS or network time-based COTS (Commercial Off-The_Shelf ~Joe) or very near COTS components only Reduce on-site maintenance to the minimum possible Camouflage based on geographic location Sensor Suite Visual, IR, near-IR, and UV spectra cameras Microwave band detection Radio band detection EMI detection in the electronics emission band RADAR LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) Audio Radiation (gamma, beta, alpha) Gravimeter See equipment details and illustrations in Tweets 2 and 3. ~End "IR" Excerpt~ ~ Avi: "And, by the way, I gave a briefing to the U.S. congress on May 1, 2025 and Congresswoman Rep. Anna Paulina Luna was there and she was very excited about the work we are doing. But the day before that, I visited an office in the Pentagon that is called the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office - AARO - All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office. And I asked them, 'You looked into all these unidentified objects reported in the past by military personnel. Did anything trigger your attention as something truly anonymous?' And they said, 'Not really. There are some reports by FBI agents that's really crazy stuff, but we don't have any data from instruments.'" (Here's a tweet from me about the director of AARO, Jon Kosloski, describing three, potentially, anomalous cases AARO is analyzing. ) ~ Avi: "And this is an office within the Pentagon which is funded to figure out things. And so, obviously, what they might want to do is imitate the Galileo Project that I'm leading. But you would think that it would be sort of the vested interest of government, you know, to invest in research related to that, which is what the Galileo Project is doing." Rogan: "Well, here's the thing. I would have thought it was already done." Avi: "I don't know." Rogan: "Until we're having this conversation, I can't believe that they're not monitoring the sky constantly for anomalous objects." Avi: "Well, you remember the Chinese spy balloon that was missed, right? And shot down?" Rogan: "Yes. Yeah, but that was silly." Avi: "So the thing to keep in mind, they're getting data on things in the sky, but if you don't have the right software now, with AI. If you don't have high-quality scientists, the way that the Manhattan Project employed, you might not figure out things. There is a reason why the Manhattan Project recruited the very best scientists. "So I say, put a billion dollars on this or more, bring in the best scientists in the world to figure it out. I'm funded at the level of millions of dollars through the Galileo Project. The government can do a billion... What is a billion dollars? It's a drop in the bucket for the Pentagon. But, if, you know, you should think about the potential risk from drones that are used by adversarial nations and..." (1000%. Put a billion dollars into that and also an AAWSAP-like program that is run by a PUBLIC company, and make all of their data available to us as soon as they receive it.) ~ If you appreciate what I do on Twitter/X (and my Blog and, occasional, YT), and wanna support my efforts, you can subscribe on here.
