I think the word “grifters” is more appropriate

I think it’s much worse. This is by design not incompetence. They could literally use a multitude of LLMs with one trained person to collate the data just to get an idea of what it might look like and they don’t.

We dont give a fuck what we spend because all you middle-class people will just have to foot the bill.

We literally run by the weakest humans we could find. It’s because normal people don’t want to be in Parliament but it’s time that normal people. We are run by fucking retards.

To be fair to the RBA, a scenario where Labor reduces spending is less likely than hell itself freezing over.

They have 2000 staff. Plus contractors. Not sure it's a manpower issue

Their only purpose must be to keep the chairs warm while the total mortgage debt grows every month.

Central bankers have more power than elected governments yet they are unelected. The system is crooked.

The RBA cannot reduce Government spending. There is no way the grifters in government are going to stop spending tax payers money like drunken sailors. Why waste limited resources running simulations that will not happen and you cannot make happen? Of course inflation would ease if the government reduced spending. My uncle Dave's liver would be in better health if he stopped drinking. Neither is going to happen but we don't need to RBA to tell us it's a good idea.

Sorry.....so, the RBA have no idea what will happen to the economy if government spending is reduced. Isn't government spending one of the key indicators of the Australian economy? Every person in Australia who runs any sort of business knows that if you don't make money you need to reduce spending. And we are more than a trillion dollars in debt.

It’s not their idiots it’s that they know there won’t be a reduction in government spending so why bother modelling it, also if they did and presented it to the government they wouldn’t really care to look at it as they have no interest in reducing spending

I remember a customer who was a former federal public servant telling me that before he retired from the public servant, he was instructed to spend two years in a staff room reading newspapers all day, every day. That was in 1988.

I’ve got to say that leadership with a dominant proportion of women is beginning show a distinct pattern. Maybe it is a selection or self-selection issue or a DEI issue, or a combination of those, but selection targets seem to have side effects.

When will the politicians get fired on the spot for running the country to the ground!! When they do this in companies they are accountable…. But for some Reason they stay in charge for years until retirement. Make it make sense

Why’s it a lack of manpower when 2 clueless women are answering the questions. Lack of resources maybe, lack of knowledge, lack of foresight, lack of understanding. Each month after the meetings they always say excessive government spending is an issue.

Seriously think about this Fact : when you take out a 30 year $1million mortgage, that money never existed until you drew down the loan & that $1million is digital dollars that cost the RBA and big 4 banks $0 to produce - yet your enslaved to pay it back + interest for 30 years

The RBA just relies on AI. They don’t know what AI calculates.

@Vince_Noir77 The system is designed to inflate / expand, based on credit creation and money printing. Deflation would be great for you and me, but terrible for government.

How fucked is that … surely that ‘scenario’ would be in the top 5. I wonder if they’ve even run the scenario if government cut fuel excise duty.

Government spending isn't as inflationary as credit demand in the economy. Credit demand comes from looser regulations in financing, easier access to credit and that financing demand is fueled by high immigration. People migrate and get car loan, step pay and credit card.
