I think we were meant to be like penguins, like way back when, gay pairings would care for offspring while straight couples focussed on reproduction. But as we evolved, parents later started caring for their own children, and later they saw gay couples as irrelevant and unnecessary, but somewhere during this time that later evolved into seeing homosexual people as wrong, slowly creating homophobia. What we also see in animals, queer beings adopt more offspring that lost birthgivers and parental figures; we often even see how same sex penguine couples are desperate for offspring, they even try to hatch stones, whenever given an abandoned egg they hatch and raise the lil one
