We have identified a City owned building in the CBD that was abandoned for 10 years. We want this property to be used as a workspace for young entrepreneurs. The decision to do this follows an X-Space we held with young entrepreneurs who complained about not having space to work. We are availing this city asset for the benefit of young people to work and do business. The building, located on Nana Sita, and should be ready by early 2026 to be utilised as an Entrepreneurs Corner. We are committed to implementing the Tshwane Economic Revitalisation Strategy. I was even a bit surprised when I came here tonight, especially by the number of young people who came to shake my hand. Therefore, I have great hope for the next generation. We are at a critical point in the war with Iran. We must make it clear to our leaders that we do not support this war, that we do not consider it vital for national security. We want to bring our soldiers home. We want to work for peace in this region. We do not want another 20 or more years of bloodshed. This time of year drives that home — players and coaches changing teams, organizations calling around for scouting reports and references, all trying to learn about who people really are. The truth is, it’s no different in any line of work. Your name travels faster than you do. Be honest, be dependable, and when you can, pay it forward. None of us gets here alone.
