As always, a good and productive meeting with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. We discussed in detail our cooperation in the production and use of drones. Our experience is already being used in the Middle East and the Gulf. We are improving defense against “shahed” drones, and we believe this should also be done in Europe. Today, for this purpose, we initiated a Drone Deal with Norway and signed a Joint Declaration on Enhanced Defense and Security Cooperation. Now our teams will work out the details. We also focused on our joint production projects and cooperation priorities for this year, and not only in defense. We continue to work together with partners to strengthen our countries. I personally thank Jonas, Norway, and all Norwegians for their military and energy support for Ukraine, for strengthening our air defense, and for their readiness to continue support for the PURL initiative. We feel your support and are sincerely grateful for it.

In Europe, our challenges are shared, and we must respond together. Sanctions against Russia are important – we expect the 19th package. We also need support for our defense and for building common defense tools – we need a joint defense of Europe’s eastern flank against Russian drones and missiles. What matters is to act strongly. Russia understands nothing else. Russians must know where the borders are and where the line is. I thank everyone who is helping.

And during this time, we are losing people. Until the moment we produce our European anti-ballistic system, we need support from United States. What can we give United States? All the things that we have and that United States doesn't. For example, software, radars, systems of electronic warfare, cheap interceptors, AI drones, lot of different kinds of drones, and so on. But we don't have enough anti-ballistic systems, and United States does. What do we want? We want to share. We want to give everything that we have. We remember that United States helped us from the very beginning of this war. Of course, we are very grateful, and we are ready to share what we have.

These agreements will provide us with defense support, finances, and humanitarian cooperation. By then, we will have nearly thirty such agreements with our partners. Our goal is to include a diverse range of countries, not just NATO members. All of them are equally ready to help us defend our shared values. No matter what happens in the world, we need our own tools to support our people and state—our security arrangements that will work under any conditions. This is the way we are moving forward.
