Two individuals from Free Gaza Australia, Michael Coleman and myself, are leaving this week for the Mediterranean to board the Handala, a small converted fishing boat. Our mission is to sail towards Gaza to expose and challenge the illegal Israeli blockade and siege of the region. We need as many eyes on board to help keep us safe and, if necessary, support in bringing us back from whatever challenges lie ahead. Follow us here

When they intercepted our vessels last week, and brutalised us, physically and sexually, the israeli army showed the lengths they are prepared to go to in order to block humanitarian aid to Gaza. We don’t know what they will do next. We sail because the risk of not sailing, of normalizing genocide, is too great. Witness is protection. We need all eyes on the Flotilla now and over the coming days as we sail towards Gaza.
