ESG based globalism will do that to a country Literally, every single country that is pushing the ESG nonsense is doing poorly Same with the States, Blue states are crashing, Red states are soaring

Keep in mind that @GrantCardone absolutely advertised home buying in Canada 2-3 years ago. This guy sells snake oil for a living. This guy can pound salt.

This is a great case for Alberta Independence as well! We can choose what banking system we want! Plus, we can have mortgages that are actually locked in for the full term instead of 5 years at a time.

OMG. The more I learn about the system in Canada, its sickening. I just got done learning about the way government works, which I'm not a fan of. But this mortgage bit is a horror show.

Our enemies are liberal voters why? Is common sense so complicated for these people ? What are they getting that I donโ€™t see? When you see a person in the streets and they say Carney is doing a good job what do they know that we donโ€™t?

And the USA doesn't have this coming down the pipeline. If you're young get TFO of Canada. Take trade courses because Trump says he wants the trades people to come to the USA. Look it up. Get out while you can. Signed: 61-year-old grandma ๐Ÿ‘ต

Canada's per capita GDP has stagnated for years with no real progress since 2019, while household debt remains among the world's highest. Combined with mass mortgage renewals at higher rates in 2026 and weak productivity, living standards are eroding fast.

Itโ€™s the Canadian way. In the USA you can write off your mortgage interest, in Canada we watch the property tax go up year over year.

Canada is completely backwards and positioned for immigrants to wreck Canadian citizens. All by design it seems.

The government body, the Insurance Body, and the Banking system body is in business in Canada to destroy citizens for their wealth, for their savings, for their earning power and potential to keep them in an underdog position of never getting ahead, so the investors of these three institutions can live in Canada's debt equity. As long as Canada's debt increases and revolves around and around, those three parties (government, insurance, banking) can greed forever. Canadians never own, they never live, they never save and they always die prematurely to outside greed. It's by design, and Canadians need to wake up. Pay debts. Live in the positive. Never take a homeline to refurbish before paying off the original loan. As soon as you do, the bank owns you, your future, your savings and your life. Debt is the breeding ground for corruption and Canadians are being farmed for their debt to death do part.

Requalifying every five years is untrue you can renew with the same bank. You have your mortgage with and not re-qualify But if you wanna renegotiate or move it to another bank, you will have to

๐Ÿ‘‰This is misleading . Yes you need to renew your mortgage rates in Canada every 3-5 years, but rates are much lower than rates in the US. Todayโ€™s mortgage rates in ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ are around 4.0% vs ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ mortgage rates at 6.5%. Borrowing for mortgages is actually much cheaper in Canada.

Nigga, home owners selling at a loss is going to have to happen eventually if we want housing prices to fall. Itโ€™s just part of the process, thereโ€™s no way around it. Sorry the overpriced property you purchased 5 years ago is going down to a reasonable price ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

In Mexico it is the same, a 25 year mortgage stays the same interest the whole 25 years term.

This is true. In Canada the government understands the only way for people to break free of being a worker and their inflation tax is to own real estate. That is why they want to crush us.

He's lying. You dont requalify for renewal. You only need to requalify if you port your mortgage over to a new lender. And majority of Canadian mortgages are on fixed rate.

It is so hard to qualify for a mortgage โ€” and part of that process is stress testing what youโ€™re borrowing at 2-3% above your current offered rate. (Borrowing at 4, stress test at 7%) The reality is, people will spend a lot less at the rate renewal if they get pinched.

I 100% agree with you Kat. If I had the money to move to the US & was guaranteed โ™ฟ support down there, I would move in the blink of a eye. Canadian banks are just robbing us especially us poor. I am not proud to be a Canadian at all because this country is so expensive.๐Ÿ˜”
