📢 HUGE thanks to $ZEUS COIN ETH Zeus Community for their generous $1,200 donation for the construction of quarantine enclosures at our partner shelter in Konotop, just 50 miles from the frontline in Ukraine. These vital enclosures will allow the shelter to safely evacuate more dogs from the frontline, keeping them separate from the general shelter population while they recover, receive care, and prepare for new beginnings in the EU. Last year, a generous donation from our incredible patron Ricky Gervais enabled us to purchase this land. Work has started on buildings restoration for the horse, car and dog clinics and just started on the outside now the weather is warming. We are so excited to see the changes!

In the early months of the war with Gaza, soldiers found an abandoned, broken and abused dog. Muslims hate dogs and you can see the fear the dog has for humans after years of abuse. So a soldier decided to help. He brought the abandoned dog back to Israel, looked after it, cared for it, nurtured it back to health, and gave it real love. And just look at this dog now. Healthy, happy, confident, playful. This is who we are. We love life. And dogs truly are man’s best friends.

In observance of World Hunger Day, we are proud to highlight the Swishes for Dishes Fest presented by Kaiser Permanente, also held in partnership with The Athlete’s Corner. At the Alameda County Community Food Bank, fans joined us to package essential meals and participate in a basketball activation called SWISH where every basket increased Kaiser Permanente’s season-long meal donation. We are thrilled to announce that this initiative has helped us surpass 3 million meals delivered to our community this season.
