Last night, an Indian Air Force Su-30 MKI crash-landed in Pune Airport / Air Force Station Lohegaon. most likely due to a landing gear failure. It came to rest in the middle of the runway and caught fire. Given the intensity of the fire, the airframe appears to be a write-off. With IAF rituals, they have lost another aircraft, while the Indian media and government continue to downplay it as just a normal incident. 🙃

During the main invasion of Okinawa on April 1, 1945, it joined fire support flotillas, launching massive rocket barrages to suppress Japanese defenses and support the landing of troops. It earned the Navy Unit Commendation and one battle star for the Okinawa campaign. A distinctive and very interesting ship.

New: Fort Lauderdale Officer Caught on Camera Performing Chest Compressions in Middle of the Road A Fort Lauderdale police officer was filmed performing chest compressions on a man in the middle of the street, working to stabilize him until paramedics arrived. The witness who recorded the incident said the officer stayed at the scene, doing her best to help while waiting for emergency responders. No news headlines to be found. Just an officer stepping in when it mattered most to try and save this man’s life.
