We are working around the clock to support people affected by the devastating floods on the Nepal-China border. Stephen Doughty HC MP ⤵️

@benllewellynjo1 @SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Compared with UK’s foreign aid budget, £5M is insignificant. Nepal’s #Gurkhas have served UK loyally for 200 years and we still have thousands of highly-trained Gurkhas in the British Army including Engineers. Why not deploy some to Nepal to provide urgent practical assistance ?

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK This is what foreign aid should be used for not condoms for Pakistan

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK But nothing for Tenbury Wells where I live! We have had decades of floods,houses and livelihoods ruined! Plenty of money for Nepal nothing for Tenbury! Says it all really.

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Finally doing something worth while! It’s only taken you 2 years! You could cut your department by 90% if the UK stopped foreign aid & wasting UK money!

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Glad someone’s doing something instead of just posting thoughts and prayers. Still, £5 million for a disaster this big? Feels a bit light when whole villages have been wiped out.

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK @FCDOGovUK Britain speaks of international law while a UK military aircraft flies to Israel without a clear public explanation. What exactly is your position? Will you disclose the truth about this flight to the British public?

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Yeah working out how you can exploit & steal as much land & resources as you can!!! And the oligarchs who control you are rubbing their hands for more $$$$$. You lot are an abomination of govt, justice & civil society!

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Don’t know why but I think I smell bullshit

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Two British nationals have gone missing near Gyirong Port on the China–Nepal border, and their family members have been unable to contact them. 1.Ankit Ranjan 2.Ankita Chandra

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK 👍🙏

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Floods caused by India and China

@SDoughtyMP @FCDOtravelGovUK Where does Britain stand on international law? A British military aircraft has flown to Israel, yet the government has given the public no explanation. Transparency is not optional especially when military cooperation with Israel is at stake. The British public deserves answers.
