We ask people to sit at a desk for 8 hours and be creative on command. Morgan Housel told me that this is not how it works. He argues: "Good ideas can't be scheduled." "I can't structure creativity. I just have to let myself go and trust that it'll... show more

Drew Timme on people doubting him: "In college and since I've left, it's you can't do this, you can't do that, you're not good enough for this and that. All these things that I can't do. And I see it, and it's fuel. At the end of the day I'm a good player I believe in myself and my abilities and I believe that I can impact the game at any level anywhere. To be able to have this opportunity and to be able to help the team it's great"

Lando: “In a way I wanted to keep number 4 because I'm just happy with that and it goes well with my logo. So that's how straightforward I am. But I will go with number 1. Because I have to. I have to. It could be my only opportunity in my life that I get to do such a thing. Not many people in the world get to do that kind of thing. And it's not for me. It's just for my mechanics. This is for my engineers. It's the fact that they get to run with the number 1 on the car. And I think it'll mean a lot more to them than it does to me as a number. And for me, that's a lot more important.”

🗣️ Eric Collins to those saying he's "too much": "I totally get it. It is what it is. But I've done this the exact same way ever since I started doing it back in the '90s. It's just always been my thing. It's natural, it's organic, it's the way I feel in the moment." "It's just who I am. I could always try to be different and be like everyone else, but why be a bad version of someone else when you can try to be the best version of yourself? And that's just who I am. It's got me this far and I probably can't change, and if someone really wants me to change, I'm just going to have to leave. So it is what it is." Full segment on Wake Up Barstool:

Karl-Anthony Towns talks about feeling the presence of his late mother and the support he's gotten from his fiancé, Jordyn Woods: "Her presence is always felt in my life. You always pray you're going to pick the right woman for you and I know I did in my fiancé. I damn sure know now with that bag, that bag held it down. Shout-out to Woods by Jordyn. It's crazy, when she passed, there was so much turmoil in my life. Funny enough, my fiancé was the one, who was a friend at the time, was the only person I got to call before I had to go out there and say bye to her at the hospital. Me and her have a real bond that goes deeper than just physical features and everything like that. We've got a true friendship that was built from the ground up. I remember just always asking her if this was going to be my last time seeing her in the physical, let me feel her spirit at all times. In moments of true pressure and a lot of things going on, I always feel this calming come to me and it's always her. It's just great to always feel her arms around me and always to feel her love in my life, in so many different ways. It's a testament. I haven't felt love from a woman like that until I met my fiancé. It really means a lot that, in a way - without sounding weird - Jackie Jr. was able to be here celebrating this moment with me. It's amazing. It's truly a humbling feeling when you know you have walked the path. I stayed faithful. In every decision that I was supposed to make, I made the right one. Feels good to be at this moment."

🗣️ Arteta reveals his superstition: “Yeah, absolutely. For every game. It's not going to change for Sunday. It will be my routine since I wake up and the way I do the first preparation, the way I take the shower, my clothes, my water, my food, it's just everything, just in my body. It's show time. I need to be ready.”

"When I knock out Prates and I've just come off the back of that really, really close fight with Shavkat, and Shavkat is injured because of it... Who do you want to see Belal fight next? Sean Brady? If you're the UFC and you're deciding on a PPV and who the main event is... it's obvious. It's me. I get the attention. I get people riled up, love me or hate me, I'm the best in the world and it's my job to show it." - “The Future” Ian Machado Garry The title picture at 170 is getting very interesting.

Mark Ruffalo says Kevin Feige furiously called him in the middle of a movie premiere just to thank him for illegally leaking the film, saying it was their biggest marketing "they asked me to do social media backstage and at that time it was like Facebook Live had just hit the apps" "I was back there doing my Facebook Live, and I thought I hit the off button. But I didn't realize it had two different off buttons" "five minutes in and my phone is blowing up, everyone and their mother was texting me from all over the world to tell me that my phone was on and I was live broadcasting the movie" "they sent a lady down... and she's like, 'your phone! Your phone is on.' I was like 'no it's not, it's in my pocket.' She's like, 'it's on, it's on!'" "I got a call from Kevin Feige... the boss. He's like, 'what are you doing, man? You can't do this stuff'" "I walk over to him to say sorry and he grabs me in a bear hug, and he's like, 'that was genius! We got more press from that than the whole premiere!'"

Mitchell Lawrie reveals one of the strangest places he got recognised recently "I was at the Rangers game at Ibrox the other day and I was in the toilet and the boy just stopped at me and stared at me and went, 'there's Mitchell Lawrie'. His Dad was like, 'I don't know who that is'. "I kind of froze to be honest I just didn't know what to say. I was with my friend and stuff and my friend was like, 'go and take a photo with the wee boy'. "When you're walking down the street and people want photos, it's going to happen and it's going to be a thing now. "Darts is that big that if you're walking down the street you're going to get noticed so you just need to get used to it." Mitchell Lawrie is an ambassador for Target Darts. #Darts

Plaxico Burress explains how he accidentally shot himself at a New York nightclub and didn't think it would derail his NFL career “I walked through the door and I see the security's there. It's a metal detector, and I was like, ‘Yo, I got the pistol on me.’ They was like, ‘Cool, don't worry about it. Come on in. You can just go with me.’ I went in, chilled by the bar, had me a drink. I ordered a drink, and he was like, ‘Yo, man, we're gonna take you all upstairs’” “So you open this door, it's a stairway, and it's pitch dark, you can't see. I got the gun tucked in on my belt. I'm walking up the stairs and I miss a step. I feel the gun sliding down my pants, and I trap it, with two hands. I see the flames come through my jeans, and my first thought, I look over the joint to see if anybody... I'm like, Oh my God, what just happened” “I had on some Chuck Taylors. I looked down at my Chuck Taylors and the whole joint is red. Nobody heard it. I'm trying to make sure ain't nobody hit. I'm really gonna be fucked up if somebody got a bullet” “Nobody knew until I got to the hospital. I'm just thinking it's an accident. Everybody's okay. I'm fine. And I'm thinking it's not that serious. I really left the hospital the next day like I'm gonna heal up from this. Maybe I'll miss the rest of the season and that was gonna be it. I didn't think it was gonna be any ramifications for what had happened. But it was the exact opposite”

"The situation that I was in, I've never been there before. It had me in a chokehold, and I couldn't release myself. It's tough when you go through betrayal of so many people when you just spent millions on the entire village and everybody betray you, you understand me? I can damn near shed tears now because of the hurt. My heart is still hurting. It's not a hindering on me, it's not a burden on me anymore." Deontay Wilder opens up about why he needs the Derek Chisora fight at this stage of his career.

Devin Booker just WENT OFF on the NBA refs in the post game press conference: "It's definitely something that has to be looked at. I heard (Alex) Caruso tell them to call the tech and he ended up doing it. In my 11 years, I haven't called a ref out by name, but James (Williams) was terrible tonight, through and through. It's bad for the sport, bad for the integrity of the sport. People are going to start viewing this as the WWE if they're not held responsible." "I know I haven't won a championship in this league but I have been in it for 11 years now, so to get to this point to be treated like that, for me to even be saying something out loud, it's bad. It's my first time in 11 years but it's needed. Whatever, I get fined for it, everybody can pull the clips and see where the frustration comes from."

Lexington Steele on the origin of his name, he says He came up with it at the Lexington Aveway subway stop in Manhattan and taking inspiration from Shawn Michaels for his signature sunglasses look. "My agent had told me it's either I get a name that's long and full or that people can cut in half and a last name that sticks" "At this point I was still a broker and I was going to visit a client and I dropped at Lexington avenue" "I looked up at the sign and it hit me Lexington can be shortened to Lex" "And Steele I just chose because it's a name that sounds well to a male performer" "That's how my name got coined in '97"
