We asked vitalik.eth why he frames Ethereum's broader mission as building "sanctuary technologies" rather than open source or decentralization. His take: "We're in a less peaceful and less safe world than we were 10 or 15 years ago. 10 or 15 years ago, you were worried about banks getting...

DAVID SACKS ON THE AI RACE: "The US is currently in an AI race, and our chief global competition is China, obviously. They're the only other country that has the talent, the resources, and the technology expertise to basically beat us in AI. And I think whoever wins this AI race, that's going to have tremendous ramifications for both our economy and our national security. Clearly, we want the US to be the winner, just like we were with the internet, and every other technology revolution before that […] We know that to win this AI race, we have to be the most innovative. You can't regulate your way just to beating your competitor. You have to out-innovate them. And we know that in the United States, the innovation comes from the private sector, not the government. So we have to do everything we can to help our companies win, to help them be innovative, and that means getting a lot of red tape out of the way… We have to have the most AI infrastructure in the US. It has to be the easiest place to build it. All of the new data centers that are going in, they require tremendous power, so getting ahead of the curve on energy, making sure we stand up all of this new infrastructure we're going to need to basically produce these AI factories… We want the US technology stack to dominate globally. We want to be the partner of choice for the whole world… I think everyone in Silicon Valley understands that the way that you win a technology race is to have the biggest ecosystem […] You just want everybody to be building on top of your technology stack, and that's what we want for the United States." Take 3 minutes and watch this! RFK Jr. responds to the Trump assassination attempt with a call for national unity: “I think we all need to take a breath now and step back and see that this is the product of so much vigil and so much anger and that when we release that kind of anger into the universe, it inevitably comes back and reverberates with these kind of consequences. All all of us now have to start looking at each other and saying, ‘we're all Americans and we're better than this. This isn't the way that we want our country to look to our children and look to people around the world.’ We need to stop hating on each other. We need to stop telling other people in the world that the other guy is going to destroy the republic. We need to recognize we're all Americans. We all love our country. It's time now to pray for the president, pray for his family, for President Trump, and to start being kind to each other and to start being generous to each other and to resist all of the implications that we continue in this kind of vitriolic way. Let's have an election. Let's go forward as Americans. Let's love each other. Let's trust each other, and let's rebuild this country as a community.” “Somebody in my group showed me a text message, and then we turned on the television and we watched it as the story was evolving. I've been through this before with my own family. I was with my dad. He died in Los Angeles. I understand the implications that this has for our country, and probably as well as anybody does. I think my message to people is we need to all renounce violence. We need to renounce not just violence, but the hatred and vitriol, and we need to stop marginalizing each other. Let’s have a dialogue with each other about doing that and a conversation and a debate. When my uncle was ill in 1963, there was this kind of division again. There was this kind of hatred when my father was ill. It was in the midst of a time that was probably the most divisive in American history at that time since the American Civil War, and we're back into that kind of milieu today. We all need to take responsibility for it. When we pose something that is mean-spirited, that is condemnatory, that is poisonous towards somebody else, we're contributing to this atmosphere of violence.”

All of California needs to see this New Candidate for Governor, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, answers the question “What does public safety in Bianco's California look like?” “I know we can do it. I know we have to do it. I will tell you this, there is a horrible consequence for going too far in one direction. And I gotta be honest with you, what happened in our political system, we have gone way too far towards socialism. And my fear is that we are going because of that pendulum swing, that it's going to go way too back too far the other way. In 2026. If I was the governor, I would ensure that that pendulum did not go past what was healthy for a strong economy, for a strong California or for a strong public safety. ‌ Public safety has been in decline for 30 years. There has to be more prisons. We have to completely get rid of all of the bad things. With Prop 47, all of our homeless issues that we have, stop calling them homeless. ‌ They're not homeless. They all had homes. They were kicked outta their homes because they're addicted to drugs, alcohol, and they were causing their families problems. And they, they kicked them out onto the streets. They have a drug induced psychosis problem that we seriously need to address. If we would force them into alcohol and drug rehabs to where we could then if they still have that chemical imbalance, then we could moderate that with the use of psychotropic medications and everything else, then we could truly fix these people. But as long as you just keep saying it's a homeless problem and just keep dumping money into these nonprofits that are really just extensions of political people and their friends that are siphoning money, laundering tax money into a nonprofit and calling it aid. ‌ I'm telling you, in that situation where I'm being sworn in, it's not just public safety. I truly am a believer that we are the greatest country in the world for a reason. And the last several decades, if not many decades, we've been in decline because we, we have allowed government, particularly California, New York, we have allowed government to become too big and they control our lives. The we, the people, the we, the Californians no longer have control of government. ‌ Government's going to tell us how we do things and when we do things, and they're not going to allow us to vote on something. There is something dreadfully wrong in our system when a part of government has grown so big and so one sided that we, we've lost track of what that government is there for. And that government is truly there for people. It's there for us to make, it's to facilitate us making our lives better. ‌ So there's our education system, our education, if you look at every metric in California, every metric that would, that would say, this is the greatest place in the world. We're about last or dead last. And if you look at all the things that, if you wanted to be the best in the world, these are the things you wouldn't do. We're about number one or number two, and we've completely gone opposite of what we should be doing for, for our residents, for me, and for you on how we can better our lives and better our families' lives. ‌ And the rules, the restrictions, the regulations, and now just the complete government control, the weaponization of government that is completely, completely at the direction, at the, at the guidance suggestion of the governor. And we unfortunately haven't had a good one in a long time. We've had a lot of firsts. We haven't had a lot of leaders. ‌ What I believe California is absolutely dying for and in dire need of is an honest person with character integrity that isn't gonna lie to them”
