A campaign to counter “incidents of insensitive language directed at Northeastern student athletes?” Is this serious? Heckling is part of sports, especially in Boston. Should NU fans stop insensitively chanting “Sieve!” at opposing goalies who are already dealing with the emotion of allowing a goal? Have you been to any competition in Boston where someone wasn’t told, loudly, that they “suck?” The way to deal with it is to perform better, and win. Shut up the hecklers and earn respect through performance. Complaining on social media will only invite more heckling.

When will NU get serious about their athletic department? Are we just going through the motions? Let’s do some recruiting, otherwise every team might as well end up like the football team.
