Multi-step, with logic conditions or LLM conditions that lets the model decide whether to proceed, approval gates that pause and ask you before doing anything risky - acrosschannels, and cron scheduling so it runs on its own. Every workflow is a full blown background agent with 25+ tools. Need deep research? It spawns a subagent. Need to navigate a website? Another subagent. The workflow orchestrates, the agents execute. Per-session sandboxes and credential isolation matter because identity leaks faster than code. The moment one run can quietly borrow another run's keys, you no longer have an agent. You have a haunting.
