What caused the fires, Burnham? At 30 degrees Celsius things do not spontaneously combust. Blaming climate every time dry grass catches light is pure scare tactics and it is simply not credible. How do Dubai and other hot countries manage without the constant panic and still manage to have green parks etc.? Let me help you: they compensate for the hot dry weather, unlike the UK. Of course the climate changes constantly because we don’t live in a climate controlled dome, but our ability to control it or change it is nonexistent. If the human race didn’t exist, never existed, the climate, biosphere would be as it is now, we are also living in one of the most stable, benign periods in Earths history. Where there are now deserts there was once lush forests, where there are seas there was once towns, settlements. The idea that solar panels, wind turbines, green taxes, whether we use fossil fuels or not, or anything we do or don’t do could change anything is too ridiculous for words.
