@michelebgoodwin "Senator Kennedy, I refuse to be shackled by your question." Checkmate, Senator Kennedy, with your simple, ignorant, arrogant, misogynistic, racist question. Your tactics are old, anachronistic, ineffective and immoral. Game's up. Thank you Professor Goodwin.

@michelebgoodwin Stop it!

@michelebgoodwin Professor Goodwin set the record straight on that too. Her statement above focused on early abortion laws, but she also describes how the anti-Black abortion laws of the civil rights era were connected to the lack of bodily autonomy and voting rights.

@cfrank149 @michelebgoodwin Everything that happened to women in “A Handmaid’s Tale” happened to enslaved Black women. EVERYTHING

@michelebgoodwin Sister Goodwin, you laid in on them today!!! Brilliance and command personified.

@michelebgoodwin Raised fist for this queen!

@SIfill_ @michelebgoodwin I will never be convinced that's not the point of anti choice legislation. They want to keep women poor & desperate. Often, these women & girls will bare children who will also become poor & desperate. Keeping a steady supply of free labor (incarceration) and low wage workers.

@michelebgoodwin Wow she's impressive. Just followed her, thanks.
