The rise in LA homelessness is not a resource issue. It’s a stewardship issue. HUD refuses to ignore LAHSA’s reckless mismanagement of taxpayer dollars that has done nothing to help the homelessness crisis in LA. With White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, we will hold LAHSA accountable and bring real results to LA.

Gavin Newsom has failed in nearly every way imaginable, not the least of which is homelessness. To fix homelessness we must address addiction. We also have to end the taxpayer funded money laundering that comes from the NGOs receiving nearly unlimited funds to do nothing.

Today we saw how focusing support specifically on women's homelessness will not only help support the women affected, but also provide learnings which can be implemented across Newport and beyond.

Apparently the most responsible decision Liberals can make to help the record homeless is to bailout developers who built overpriced shitboxes that no one wants. Minister of Housing Gregor Robertson: "We have record levels of homelessness, we have people that cannot access affordable rental apartments, and we have empty homes in Vancouver, in Toronto, we need to take action on this and make the most responsible decisions with it." The finally admit that after 11 years of Liberals Canada has record homeless. Well done.

People regularly openly abuse drugs on the streets despite hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money spent each year to combat homelessness and related substance abuse issues. Tens of millions are poured into left-wing nonprofits that are part of the homelessness industrial complex in particular. These groups reject evidence-based research and instead argue for unending funding to enrich themselves and further their ideologies.

We’ve seen cities all over solve this. It’s not rocket science. But LA’s elected officials have chosen bureaucracy over results. We need real housing, real services, and real accountability.
