I admire your gracious & forgiving attitude towards the owners who receive a free motorised cart after abusing/neglecting these animals so badly. I feel outrage. They're rewarded in order to stop their cruelty but I know why you do it.. it's for the animals ♥️

Angela, you understand exactly why we do it. ❤️ It can feel terribly unfair, but the motorised cart is not a reward for what happened to the animal. It is our way of breaking the cycle. The owner signs a legal agreement not to keep or use another donkey for work. The rescued animal retires, and another donkey does not simply take their place. Our priority has to be the animals — not only saving the one suffering today, but protecting the one who would otherwise suffer tomorrow. 🫏❤️

Let’s call her Grace. Our vet believes she is over 25. Years without proper hoof care have left her feet and limbs permanently deformed. The damage is irreversible, and even pain relief may not be enough to give her the comfort she deserves. And Grace is not an exception. Two desperate donkeys arrived just this afternoon. The second is in an even worse condition. This is what I am trying to tell you: I cannot keep saying YES to them alone. We offer working donkeys FREE hoof trimming, FREE veterinary treatment and early care so they can be reached before neglect becomes irreversible. But to keep doing that, we need helping hands—and helping hands cannot find us if these stories never leave our own little circle. "It is not enough to be able to defend oneself with air defence systems, which we are currently purchasing for many, many billions. One must also dare and want to have the capability to deter Russia ultimately. We do not want either a conflict or a war with Russia. No one in Europe wants that. There is only one aggressive party, and that is Russia. Russia has shown again and again that they want conflict, they want war in another country. . Jeremy Boreing asked me how we can help young men find meaning and purpose. Not philosophically…practically. First, I addressed what we are doing wrong. We are not meeting them where they are, on their terms, and until we do that, they won’t be receptive. Gen-Z is not proactively seeking advice, so we have to bring it to them. Second, we need to acknowledge that certain things in their life ARE hard. Too many in the “older” generations are not acknowledging this and simply telling them to “suck it up.” But…we then need to demonstrate to them that life has always been hard and we need to give them that perspective. How do we do this? Make “rites of passage” great again. Getting your driver’s license (I meet so many young people who simply Uber everywhere and thus never got a license). Making the varsity football team (so many young people gave up on sports during Covid). Asking a girl on a date: face-to-face. You become a “legal” adult on your 18th birthday. But you become an actual adult when you acquire enough life experiences that deem you mature enough to BE an adult and these come through rites of passage. Right now we have a generation of young males trying to “learn” manhood from the manosphere which is the definition of immaturity. A “rite of passage” is about triumphing through and beyond something. The manosphere’s business model is to keep young men stuck. It creates followers, not leaders. Perhaps the most important rite of passage we can provide these young men right now is to leave this nonsense and go on with building their lives on their own terms. Young men need the dirt under their fingernails that comes from REAL life experiences, not the calluses on their fingers that come from constant screen swipes.
