We NEVER eliminated ‘American’ candidates or gave them less consideration. In fact, hiring H1B candidates comes with more logistical and legal overhead and expense to the company which directly cuts into any savings. 2 things here, I support abolishing H1B and reforming work visa's, all of them including L1, OPT, H4 EAD etc, but stop villifying indians or H1B workers, they didn't steal anything, they were given jobs by US corporations & visas by US govt. Its a policy issue, focus on that.

That's just gross & xenophobic & wrong. Americans aren't poor or losing jobs because of foreign workers; we're losing jobs & unable to afford basics like housing & food & healthcare because we're governed by corrupt sociopaths and psychopaths down with neoliberalism and fascism.

It also promotes another problem. H-1B workers are often treated like slaves, which I also disagree with, but this management style is also extending to the American citizen. It is abusive and at the same time, not in line with the cultural values of the company itself.

Foreign labor isn't cheaper. Foreign labor is more compliant, it's a captive labor force. Whether it's the economic bubble they trap them in India or the visa system here. It's all about control.
