This is a must listen for parents with young children! Parents and schools must teach kids strong morals and respect. If teachers actively guide students, inappropriate behaviors wouldn't occur. They need to focus on discipline and values to raise respectful and responsible kids.

Thursday, the 28th November is Thanksgiving day in the U S A. Families will come together and celebrate the harvest and all the blessings of the year. It's also the time of year when people donate to charity and we wonder if any of our friends will remember the work that Ernestos does for the animals in war torn Syria? We have just had one of our worst months for fundraising, with the lowest donations we have seen for a long time. A little gift from our supporters means everything to our animals and to the lives of the 100s of animals we treat and help every day of the year. We want to continue to be there for them. To help as we have helped for the past 9 years. But first, we must make it through the winter months. Will you help us? We need fuel, we need food,we need medicines. But most of all, we need your kindness and your belief in what we do.

Alright parents how many times have your kids crawled out of their rooms and headed into the kitchen for a snack, only to throw their hands up in despair and proclaim that you have nothing to eat. I don’t know about you but most of us parents pride ourselves in how we provide for our families. We keep our kitchens so stocked that we can’t even find the food we wanna eat half the time but we know we have it. Are these kids just too lazy to look or are they being ungrateful again, what would you say to your kid if they claimed you had nothing to eat?

They have a very small population. They say Denmark, but Denmark has spent no money, they have no military protection. They say that Denmark was there 300 years ago or something with a boat, well we were there with boats too I’m sure. So we’ll have to work it all out… We need Greenland for national security, not for minerals - we have so many sites for minerals and oil and everything - we have more oil than any other country in the world. We need Greenland for national security.”

A viral video showed highschool kids unable to sound out words like “extraordinary” and “silhouette.” ~25% of 16-24-year-olds qualify as “functionally illiterate.” They read below a 5th grade level. This can change, but we have to go back to the basics. One, parents have to read to their kids - no excuses. Two, we have to teach our kids phonics, not the exclusive “context clue” method we’ve tried and failed for decades. Here are my two “whys” for ensuring our kids read well: 1. They’ll be lost in every way without it. 2. It’s our Christian obligation to do so.
