Today is a special day! After five years of intensive research, our team of eight Rijksmuseum conservators started removing the varnish from Rembrandt's The Night Watch. This will enable us to preserve the painting for future generations. You can watch this process live, as the work is being conducted in the see-through glass chamber in the Night Watch Gallery of the Rijksmuseum. 🚨 More about The Night Watch: Operation Night Watch is made possible by main partner AkzoNobel and the Rijksmuseum Fonds.

Many have said that the differences and divisions in our world are too great for us to come together for the common good. But the Summit of the Future showed that with a spirit of dialogue and compromise, we can join forces to steer our world to a more sustainable path. As this year’s #UNGA activities wind down, we must remember that this is not the end. It is in all our interests to choose the future we want and to guide our world towards it. The journey continues. Let’s keep going.

Day and night, rangers lace up their boots and head into the most remote corners of Kenya – patrolling vulnerable habitats, responding to field emergencies, and tackling wildlife crime. This is just a glimpse into their vital work. This World Ranger Day, we’re celebrating our rangers on the frontlines. Working in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service, our 30 SWT/KWS Anti-Poaching Teams and Canine Unit tackle the greatest threats to conservation, secure wild spaces, and support critical operations across Kenya. It is an incredible honor to be recognized yet again. In 2022, we received the award for the in-depth #CrimeWatch show around rhino and elephant poaching. I a truly humbled to receive this distinction again - for, according to SANParks, “ the outstanding effort dedicated to covering stories about conservation and safety and security in Table Mountain National Park and Kruger National Park.” This award is not only a reflection of my efforts but also the support and collaboration of many who share a commitment to conservation and the preservation of our natural heritage. I dedicate this award to all those working tirelessly to protect and nurture our environment for future generations and to my team at #CrimeWatch on @etv and eNCA I am deeply appreciative of this accolade.
