A couple months back, the team and I were debating what was our most commonly used piece of software. We landed on Chromium. So we wanted to see if we could find live vulnerabilities in it with our AI. Today, I'm excited to share that not only did our AI find a live vulnerability in Chromium – which powers Google Chrome, Brave, Microsoft Edge, and other browsers – but we also found live bugs in Safari and Firefox. Emerging as the global frontier of model-reasoning has been a core vision of Affine since its inception. In pursuit of this vision, we've been working relentlessly to forge a repeatable training loop: a mechanism that uses benchmark driven post-training methodology to facilitate the improvement of reasoning itself. Through applying our training methodology onto Qwen3-32B as our base model, Affine’s miners have been able to push the Pareto frontier outward. We’ve now reached saturation; our models have become so good at reasoning that any further improvements are producing diminishing returns. As a result we now move our base model to Qwen3.6-35B-A3B. It provides a stronger basis, offering an extended context window, as well as an improved foundation for agentic work. The same training methodology will be applied going forward. Our objective is no longer simply to improve a single model, but to demonstrate that the process in itself is repeatable, scalable, and model agnostic. We view the commoditization of reasoning as vital to ensure our technology is not only transparent, but also co-owned by humanity.

It’s been one week since the UK Government and Tata’s bad deal for steel. An EAF only future for our steel industry is wrong and we need to see proper investment in our steel industry like the £3bn pledged by the The Labour Party. We simply can’t have a decarbonisation on the cheap approach. Community knows the importance of steel and we need the public, Government, and companies to know it as well. Last week, we were treated to the most incredible aurora borealis I have ever seen. There was a major coronal mass ejection from the Sun, and as those particles reach Earth, they interact with our magnetic field and our upper atmosphere to create the green, red, and blue/purple hues that we see. I spent most of the evening just staring out of the Cupola windows – it was as if we were surrounded by a glowing fog of red. I tried to capture it in a timelapse video. Sergey Kud-Sverchkov also got a great picture of me as we were all enjoying the light show!

Google's new Gemma 4 is excellent, and the 26B MoE version is likely the best model to run on a 32GB Framework Desktop. It's fast, smart, and also great for tool calling if you use it with OpenClaw🦞 or other local agent platforms.
