We consider ourselves huge Monty Python and Eric Idle fans, but we had never heard of this! In 1987 Eric performed in, and rewrote the lyrics to Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado, directed by Jonathan Miller, who previously directed Eric in Alice in Wonderland 1966. Brilliant

@EricIdle I watched this when it was first shown on ITV just after Christmas in 1987. I was really excited about it because I’d just been in a version of the Mikado with a local group the previous September. I recorded this on VHS and must’ve watched it hundred ls of time. Brilliant.
