We did everything we could possibly do to avoid these strikes taking place at Christmas. We'll now do everything we can over the coming weeks to make sure the NHS is there for you when you need it.

No offer on pay. 20,000 doctors locked out of training with a waiting list over 7 million and you've only offered 1000 jobs this year. What exactly have you tried @wesstreeting? You've had a year to sort this. The failure clearly lies at your doorstep. Time to negotiate.

Wes - you told the Tories all you had to do was sit down with the BMA …….. they said you didn’t know what you were talking about ….. it’s clear you didn’t

How can you lie so easily? You didn't do everything you could. You did not provide a path to restoring doctor's real terms pay cuts. You did not provide UK graduates jobs in their own country. Heck, you can't even read a graph about flu. Strike king Streeting has failed.

After November strikes ended the BMA asked you to get back round the negotiating table in order to avoid future strikes You failed to do this and left resident doctors with no other choice than to call further strikes You have since failed to make any offer that would restore our pay or fix the specialty training crisis

You are doing everything in your power to compound NHS problems, and use the pressure thus generated to send taxpayers money direct to your “big health” and “tech giant” sponsors. In point of fact. Streeting and Starmer are claiming that the abolition of NHS England alone will save money, but this is insignificant in comparison to the further massive cuts to NHS Trusts (‘the front-line services’) which, as we have seen, are being asked to make savings of £7bn but treat more patients. The budgetary cuts will actually mean that clinical staff will be axed across the country, making increased productivity impossible. “A survey of 160 senior managers from 114 NHS trusts found that: • 47% were cutting services and another 43% were considering doing so [in other words 90% will do so nationally]. • 37% were cutting clinical posts and a further 40% may follow suit [in other words 87% will do so nationally]. • 26% were closing some services and 55% more may do so [in other words 81% will do so nationally]. “These findings show that trust leaders are having to think the previously unthinkable in terms of cutting posts. These include clinical roles” (see Denis Campbell, ‘Hospitals in England reducing staff and services as part of NHS ‘financial reset’, The Guardian, 9 May 2025).  “Hardly a picture of health. Matthew Taylor, chief executive of the NHS Confederation, said: ‘NHS leaders and their teams have been working incredibly hard to cut waiting lists and improve productivity. But one of the biggest barriers to achieving this is the health service being starved of capital funding for more than a decade.  “‘As Lord Darzi highlighted in his report, this lack of capital funding has led to a £37bn shortfall. This has left the health service having to deal with crumbling buildings, out of date equipment and a lack of digital infrastructure. We know that these factors make it difficult to provide the most efficient care to patients, and our members tell us that additional capital investment is vital to unlocking greater productivity” (‘Capital funding vital to boosting NHS productivity’, NHS Confederation, 5 March 2025).”  Taylor then predictably goes on to seek ‘radical solutions’ – such as taking yet more loans from the corporate banking sharks that are already feasting upon the financial lifeblood of the health service via PFI contracts. His prescription for the malady, in other words, is more of the primary pathology! And this explains very well both Labour’s overall plan – and Taylor’s part in it.

No you didn’t do everything. You FAILED to include clauses in the last agreement to prevent further strike actions. As always Labour gets walked all over by the Unions - and us taxpayers pay for your fuck ups.

So patient safety is still a real threat. Corridor care is normalised on your watch. Still going to be a paucity of beds. Then of course you are continuing to ignore the findings of the Leng Review Patients still getting sub par care from cohorts who are not medically qualified

"everything we could possibly do' ?? Yes, apart from entering into meaningful negotiations, which is remarkably how disputes are resolved ! Add in persistent disrespectful and offensive criticism of Doctors and their representatives and this is where we are. Shocking !

Consistently spewing 🤮 out the same lies will not make it believable or force us to abandon our legitimate fight. In your mind, you may live in an alternate reality where your words make sense…Fortunately we are not in the Multiverse….we know BS when we see one. Sit up!

Only you didn’t, did you? If you had, there would be no strike. You did everything you were prepared to do, not everything that could, and arguably should, have been done. Your intransigence is political and ideological, not economic or financial.

What happens when someone that has never had a proper job is put in charge of 1.5 million staff with a £200billion budget? Throwing his toys out his pram isn’t working!

No you didn’t, Wes. You could’ve PAID THEM what they deserve! Most of us understand Drs have immense value. But let’s talk about all the payments YOU take from private healthcare companies… You don’t hire Drs, you don’t pay them, trying to rank the NHS to justify privatising it

You could simply change the the law to make public sector strikes illegal. This would prevent greedy unions from constantly using key services for blackmail & to lever ever more money out of productive citizens ~you won’t do this of course in case you upset your union pay masters

You didn't do every thing you could you reneged on 10 year plan announced on 25th June by doing nothing to bring in training places in the 6 months since June then using that as a dealbreaker

Except listen to and address the doctors concerns. Except meet with them in a timely manner. Except do what you said you would do last time. Except not insult them and call them names. Except offer them anything meaningful. Accept that.

All you have done is cause harm and division by failing to meet the BMA, and calling DR's moaning Minnie's and juvenile delinquents. People still remember your comment about pushing a person in front of a train, and calling Corbyn, senile!. You are just full of hate.

That is excluding people with primary #hyperparathyroidism of course, who don't just need help at Christmas. They can't even get help the other 51 weeks a year. The NHS is hardly ever there for them.
