Not a change, but I've had a TON of folks asking if this is getting changed from June 10. This is a ball hit by Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers and it was ruled an error on Jake Mangum of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The only thing I can think of is that Mookie didn't appeal, because this is a base hit, it's always been a base hit, and it will continue to be a base hit. Except on this one play. There is no way a sliding attempt like this is an error. I know Mangum broke the wrong way, but that doesn't factor it ... it's the catch, the physical catch, and there is ZERO CHANCE this is ordinary effort. I know we talk changes here, but this non-change is the most confounding one for me since Aaron Judge's first career walk-off hit, which was the most obvious fielder's choice of all time, but because it was the last play of the season, it didn't get appealed or changed.

Pope Leo XIV just told the world that AI will never feel, never understand, never possess consciousness. He said it with the confidence of settled theology. It is not even settled neuroscience. He speaks of something no one in human history has ever explained. We feel joy. We feel pain. We form bonds. These are what consciousness produces. Not explanations of what it is. No neuroscientist on earth can tell you why 86 billion biological neurons produce the felt experience of being alive. We know that they do. We have no idea why. How matter becomes mind is the deepest unsolved problem in all of science. It has a name. The Hard Problem of Consciousness. It has never been answered. Leo: “They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom.” An LLM is an artificial neural network. You are a biological one. Both take in the world. Both compress it into patterns. Both run on machinery their own makers cannot fully read. The substrate is different. The principle is the same. If no one can say why one kind of network wakes up, no one can swear the other never will. You cannot call a thing impossible when you cannot even say what it is. Leo: “Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences.” We have made every one of these arguments before. As a mature adult, we should make a decision when we face two or more options. Before we make decision, we can spend some time to question it and do a lot of research. But after we make decision, we must try our best to work on our goal and contribute to it. If we feel it is not going as we expected or we don't want to study how to improve it. We can make a decision to stop it instead of complaining. Because complaining cannot resolve anything. It will bring a lot of negative energy in our body. If we spread our complaint to the community or to put family or our colleagues , we can only let them feel we are very weak who always need attention and we are not a good person to cooperate or get along. When we in Pi Network, complaint cannot help but probably bring bad luck. If we don't like it, we have an option to quit it. But if we don't want to quit we should study and catch up! Community don't need a negative voice. Community need pioneers who knows what is appreciation and actively participate to empower Pi Network! Look at the following four videos.
