We don’t know how good we had it…

The 70s, 80s, and 90s were such wonderful decades. The world has changed so much; families were so much closer, and there was faith in the home.

Amen

The world made a lot more sense to me up to about 25 years ago. 91 was a good year, kids were young, just bought an old farmhouse in the country

Yessir! 💯

everything was so slow back then man. we had patience. kids didn't need to be told to read, color, or sit down and just watch an entire holiday episode when it airs on tv. it was what they wanted to do because it was all they knew

It’s really sad what the world has become

Friend we still live that way for my kids. One tv in the house, no devices, no video games. We’re together nearly the entire day as we homeschool as well. Watch Christmas story all Christmas Day as my wife did with her family as a kid. We go to the mall, we play rec baseball, and we hit the city pool for grins.

Love it brother!

Who even knew that it would be the last time...

Exactly

It all ended and we weren't even looking. ☹️

I want to Tap my Ruby Red slippers together and go back home to 1991

Families still have it like that. They’re just not as common as they used to be. It’s a tragedy. I wish people in familial situations like that would speak out more but they’re too busy living their lives. Unfortunately, the people who don’t have it like that have nothing but time on their hands and idleness is the devils playground. So there’s that.

I feel very fortunate to have been a young child in the early 70’s. It was simply pollyanna growing up in a small town with parks, lakes, churches and kids everywhere. It was simply glorious.

All the feels. 🥹

Yes ma’am

Life is supposed to get better than you parents had. Every generation since the dawn had it better. Kids born in the late 70s-today, that's a span of about 40 years or so have had it worse if they became an adult at the turn of the century. It's all gone sadly. No one can afford homes, we import Islam; won't arrest blks; allow women to kill kids.... Crazy...and now the decline of birth rates.

My life is still like this because I know how to put down my phone.

Yes! Only we know! I feel we lived a lot, and saw things, many will never see or know !

Such a warm scene. I miss that so much.

Makes me sad 😢

So grateful for experiencing those times! I don’t feel bad about my age!🥳🥰

I was in the 8th grade

Same

Awesome

Before being afraid to leave our houses and not put out presents until Xmas morning due to home invasions.

Please don’t make me want it to be Christmas season already.

It was the Best! 👊😁

Id die to go back before internet we had family and community unities. Good morals and completely with nature🙏

That just made me so sad for a minute..but grateful to have lived a beautiful life growing up in that way. Life was so much better. If we could only go back...💗

Good times , thank you for that 🙏

Honestly hurts the soul watching this. I don't think we acknowledge how much life changed after 9/11.

I see more and more folks talk about this....we had it good....

This one spoke to my heart.

Would go back in a heartbeat.

It’s ai slop, but it’s close. Duck Hunt being a solo cart was what got me looking closer

I do and my family is still quality like this

Guys, if you have kids, you can still absolutely do all of this for them. Nothing has to change unless you want it to.

I loved the JC PENNEY Christmas Catalog ahha. My sister and I would go to the toy section and write our initials on the things we liked in case my Grandma wanted to order them :)

We can still live like this. Literally just decorate your home 90s style, buy an old tv, old clothes and just simulate that era. Your own little 90s haven away from the rest of the world.

Everything just felt cozier back then.

I was a single mother, with 3 children under 3 at the time. It was still such an ideal time, where determination could change everything, and it did. I'm so proud of my children/grandchildren now. It breaks my heart that our children no longer have options, except civil war.
