I’ve used Scottish notes many times in London and Stansted airports without any problems .

Just offer it and if they don’t accept it, walk out without paying . I done it at a garage in Mayfair London. Got £20 of diesel, they refused a £20 Northern Ireland not. I walked out and drove away. A week later police contacted me. I explained the situation and that was it
