@MathigonOrg No, it’s not. It’s procedural. It shows only the “what” and not the “why”. And the latter is way more important. Procedural knowledge says a car starts by merely turning a key or pressing a button. Conceptual understanding is being able to explain what goes on underneath 1/2

@MathigonOrg This is amazing. Used it this year. Want to improve using for next year. 6th grade. Still struggle. How can I use this to help me get students to understand the connection to the algorithm of flipping and multiplying? Is there a good example problem you go to?
