@MathigonOrg I love polypad! It stretches the limits of physical manipulatives. I didn't know the rename option...thank you!

@MathigonOrg Multiplying by the reciprocal is conceptual.

@MathigonOrg No, it’s not. It’s procedural. It shows only the “what” and not the “why”. And the latter is way more important. Procedural knowledge says a car starts by merely turning a key or pressing a button. Conceptual understanding is being able to explain what goes on underneath 1/2

@MathigonOrg Thank you

@MathigonOrg How could we find the sixteenth (without the app)? Doesn't seem intuitive, or did I miss something?

@MathigonOrg This is amazing. Used it this year. Want to improve using for next year. 6th grade. Still struggle. How can I use this to help me get students to understand the connection to the algorithm of flipping and multiplying? Is there a good example problem you go to?

@MathigonOrg lol 3x11=33 4x4=16 33/16=(32/16)+1/16=2+1/16

@MathigonOrg Just. Flip. And. Multiply.

@MathigonOrg I love this and your Tiktok video below as well. How did you get the division symbol into the PolyPad?
