Rwanda is and has always been a Nation State from its conception. There has never been any “tribes” inside that nation, only One Nation of the Banyarwanda. The misconception on Rwanda (and Burundi btw) doesn’t date from yesterday. The colonial narratives about the “Natives” has deeply perverted post-colonial legacy.
