We estimate that somewhere between 500 thousand to 900 thousand millionaires have been created in this country in the Nigerian stock market. - Temi Popoola GMD/CEO of the Nigerian Exchange Group

This is a senseless take. I invested in the stock market and yes, the market have rewarded investors in the last couple of years but in a country where over 100million people live below poverty line and the stock market participation is among the lowest in the world, such political statement is utterly disgusting.

Hell really handpicked people working with Tinubu for him. At this rate, Nigeria is becoming the real hell with all these himan-demons roaming the corridors of power.

Let’s all be deceiving ourselves and playing to the gallery 😀😀😀😀 if those figures are true in Anyway the poverty index shouldn’t be rising ! Let’s even stretch the argument that it’s coming from foreign investment in the stock market that should mean that the taxes Government has gained has increased begging the question where the money went ? We just like to play around and joke 500,000 new millionaires or existing ones Abeg stop joking

Remi popoola must be mentally deranged. In a country where over 140 million Nigerians are living in multi dimensional poverty under Tinubu APC government

The beneficiaries of these results are ordinary Nigerians. It is therefore strange when a man with mouth diarrhoea, wearing the toga of a "Bishop" speaks on matters he knows next to nothing about simply to gaslight Mr. President in support of his preferred boy boy catholic church candidate. To them, manna has stopped falling from heaven because this economy is strange to them. This is perhaps the first time Nigeria is running what resembles a properly functioning economy. The Bishop seems to have forgotten that this is a value-based economy, and the only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.

Who is a millionaire? A person earning cash income of one million a month? A person that has assets valued up to one million? A person with asset capable and generating income of one million a month?

They are trying so hard to justify and legitimize the idea and plan of listing our national assets, like our NNPC, on the Nigerian stock market. This would allow foreign entities to compete with local entities. These foreign entities would come with their own currency and convert it to naira and then later on invest this money in the Nigerian stock market. We have all seen how the puppet president, Bola Tinubu, has been enacting anti-people's policies that undermine the value of our naira so you are competing with people that have a stronger currency and have a more stable economy

These are the set of humans misleading the president that making him think all is well. These are the problems the bishop complained about. See the way him came here to lie to the president with no proof to show. Just words of mouth and calling numbers that doest’t exist.

We love dropping off figures anyhow. It's in our DNA. Ask him the same question next time. His answer will be different from this one. You will be surprised but I won't because all the poor guy is saying is just to satisfy Ògàs at the top. 😜😜🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Dan hegiya mai baki kaman na bera. Like Popoola, like Taiwo Oyedele. Two satanic snitches, peddlers of innuendoes, with dehydrated sissy-like and progesterone induced sopranic voices. These fellas don't really understand the meaning of poverty. Poor people and stock market?

Our economy growth is now built upon portfolio. Even though I invested heavy on our Nigerian exchange group (NGX) that doesn't mean that the economy is healthy. Why feed the president with this kind of information, no wonder he's bragging about the positive effect of his reform, not minding that it only favour the <1% of the population while Majority of the nominal are suffering and gnashing their teeth.

The statement is very correct, even if you don't invest in the Nigerian Stock Market but maintain a RSA your PFA must have been returning accrued gains running into Millions of Naira this year alone.

Sometimes there is no need attending comedy show. Just put on channel station or Arise TV. Or buy news paper. There is enough comedy for you with the news.

Brilliant analysis. I like data. However, attributing the growth in NGX to Tinubu’s govt is a little off. I recently started investing in NGX bcos we now have a lot of trading platforms, most of which have been there before Tinubu. Hardship is also a driver.

These people are desperately looking for anything they can call a win. Only someone who has fed himself and his family well will have something left to spare for trading. What the APC and its associates have refused to acknowledge is that the majority of Nigerians are suffering. You cannot claim success when less than 5% of the population is living well while the rest are struggling. Nigeria needs to work harder to solve its data crisis. All these statements without data to prove them will not help us.

A shop owner that rent hos shop before 2023 at 250k naira per annual and now is 2.5m per annual. He is now a millionaire and that is the type of millionaire made by Tinubu. High inflation type of millionaires

Is he forgetting that only the middle class can afford to invest heavily in shares? Only rich investors buy the kind of volume that yields millions. APC logic is enough to give you a migraine. Besides, what's a few hundred thousand millionaires in a country of 200 million people?
