For example: on 1H–4H strategies, I place Stop Loss beyond normal price noise. That way, it protects from real invalidation, not from random pullbacks. In backtests, I want to see Stop Loss triggering only when the idea truly fails, not during routine corrections. 🔸 When it doesn’t I don’t use Stop Loss with aggressive DCA. Averaging needs room, and Stop Loss often closes trades before the structure plays out. I also avoid tight Stop Loss on 1m–5m. High noise turns good entries into small losses. China Eastern flight, Lanzhou to Guiyang this morning. Plane had already landed and was taxiing when someone in front starts screaming “Fire!” and running. People look up... overhead bin is on fire.. Crew and passengers trying to deal with it, then the fire trucks show up on the ramp. We keep seeing this exact scene. Power banks and lithium batteries in the overhead bins. They get crushed, shorted, or just decide to go thermal runaway. Happened on Air China last year too, and plenty of other flights. That’s why the rules exist: keep the power bank under the seat or in the seat pocket, switched off, and only bring the ones that meet the airline limits. I’ve been on the ramp long enough to know how fast cabin smoke can turn into a real problem. Glad this one happened after landing and not at altitude, but “lucky” shouldn’t be the strategy. Be careful with these things, guys. Or leave the big power banks at home if you’re not sure.
