It has nothing to do with gravity and everything to do with the density of mercury.

Hey look - 100 Thousand tons plus of steel floating in water. Its called buoyancy and displacement.

They taught us this in Jr. High back in the early 80's..... When it was Everywhere! Thermostat, Thermometers, TVs, Transistor Radios .... To my Chemistry set...

It's possible for an anvil to float on mercury, even though the anvil is heavier than the liquid metal. This is because mercury is a very dense liquid, meaning that a small amount of it weighs a lot. When the anvil is put into the mercury, it pushes some of the mercury out of the way, and the mercury pushes back up on the anvil. This force is enough to keep the anvil floating on the surface of the mercury. This happens because of something called archimedes principle.

Erm….. density matters.

Experiment doesn't have anything to do with gravity. Maybe you could tell us the relationship between the experiment and gravity and what it proves or doesn't prove.

The atomic mass of iron is 46u . Mercury is 200u. So iron will float on mercury .

send this to Elon Musk with his IQ I would like to see what he says about it ..... alot or theory's about liquid magnets made from Mercury used in design of engines that defy gravity

If gravity doesn't exist what is keeping the mercury in the tub??????
