Big things brewing at nyvfxwaala! Our recent strategic alliance with Goodbye Kansas Studios is taking shape beautifully. As we join forces, we intend to make VFX exciting for films and games alike. India is a hotbed for both casual gamers and esports athletes, and the sheer volume of both makes the space very compelling. Adding to that the similarity of storytelling and powerful characters in both cinema and gaming, I am personally super stoked for the future. On the occasion of the handshake with GBK, we had a fantastic discussion with sc0utOP and Kaash on the Indian gaming ecosystem. We had a great time EGX running the Family Gaming Database Zone. 16000 parents and children came to play our 150 games over 4 days. So many lovely moments of families discovering games, talking about parental controls and playing together. Looking forward to next year and other events!

They're looking at multiple screens at one time. They're communicating all the skills. And again, we're safety driven. This is not a game, it's real life. But the skills you develop as a gamer."

The gaming industry made it so easy for everyone to complete a game that when the slightiest challenge arises, people get frustrated, give up and rant on social media. Fuck that. I grew up on games like Grim Fandango, Monkey Island, Phantasy Star.... We had no internet, no walkthrough... And we had the best time of our lives because we did it OURSELVES.
