People see this and don’t know that a lot has been put in place to merit the hosting: - first class hospitals within 5 miles radius, - quality food and music, - investments on water transport and logistics over the years etc. Not all states can boast of what Lagos offers.

Once you see anyone trying to undermine the effort of Lagos state or discount the enormous investment into boosting tourism or start commenting about the water, just know that they are jealous and jealousy is the root of hatred. If you are one of them, just know you are jealous.

Despite the humongous IGR and allocation from FGN, it’s still impossible for your administration to fix roads in Festac, Amuwo Odofin & environs. Not many of us have speed boats, we are marooned in the roads. Please use our tax money to fix the roads!

From the 3rd to the 5th of October, for the first time on the African continent, Lagos will host the world’s all-electric powerboat championship, the E1 Series. The E1 Lagos Grand Prix is a demonstration of innovation and progress, showing how sport can inspire sustainable solutions for the future. It is also a celebration of the creativity and resilience that define our people. This occasion gives us the opportunity to showcase Lagos to the world as we know it: welcoming, dynamic, and determined to embrace the future with confidence. I extend a warm invitation to you to be part of this historic moment. The E1 Lagos Grand Prix is a chance for Lagos, and for Africa, to stand proudly on the global stage. From the Blue Line trains to the vibrant streets of Lagos, creators like Ed Wonder and Zahra Ahmed, who is only 13 years old, are showing the world what makes our city special. Their content captures Lagos as a hub of progress, innovation, and endless opportunities for everyone. I thank Edward and Zahra for highlighting our growth and achievements. Lagos is a city of stories—of resilience, creativity, and ambition. I invite more content creators to share positive stories that showcase the heart of Lagos. This is Lagos, and we lead.

I am honoured to represent Lagos at the Lord Mayor's Show in London, a historic moment as the first African city to participate. This showcases Lagos on the global stage, emphasizing our economic prowess. The Lord Mayor's Show, an 800-year tradition, symbolizes Lagos as a rising economic force. The invitation is a testament to our upward trajectory, and I'm here to declare Lagos open for international business. Our participation emphasizes Lagos as the cultural, entertainment, and economic hub of Africa. It's an honor to share our stories, attract investments, and showcase Lagos' vibrancy to the world. We're actively inviting investments through city banquets, bilateral meetings, and the Lagos Investment dinner, all echoing the resounding theme, "Lagos is open for business." We're not just participating; we're making a bold statement about our economic strength, cultural richness, and readiness for international collaboration.

It was a moment of profound reflection and gratitude to lead the Board of the ncc.gov.ng on a courtesy visit to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu last Thursday. As I mentioned during our meeting, my "PhD in Public Service" was obtained within the The Lagos State Govt ecosystem. To return now, in this federal capacity, and be received so warmly by a leader who was once my "Dean" in that school of service, is truly humbling. Our discussions reinforced the central role Lagos continues to play as Nigeria’s hub for telecommunications, innovation, and the digital economy, a position built over decades of deliberate governance and reform. This legacy, championed and consolidated under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to shape Lagos as the template for national progress. The NCC remains committed to deepening collaboration with Lagos State to ensure that the infrastructure powering our nation’s economic engine remains resilient, compliant, and future-ready. Thank you, Mr. Governor, for the commendation and for reminding us that while we serve the nation, we must never forget the soil that nurtured our capacity to serve.

We got a call from Lagos to pick up this cute baby and refurbish it completely, the car had been stationary and parked for nothing less than two years and our potential client thought it wise to bring it back to life, we set out to Lagos to pick it up, the engine came up once and at the first attempt to ignite it, it was in a good condition, however, we had to top up the oil just for the sake of the journey, the car arrived our workshop Doromecho Automobile Solutions Ltd. Inside Òṣogbo safely.

Yesterday, I addressed the Central working Committee of the Lagos4Lagos Movement who are drawn from all the Local Governments in Lagos State to personally re-affirm my readiness to joining the Lagos State Gubernatorial race in 2027 as against doing so by proxy. Our deliberations were not merely about ambition, but about articulating a shared vision for the future of Lagos—one anchored in inclusive governance, sustainable growth, and the empowerment of our people. We deliberated on strategies that transcend politics-as-usual, focusing instead on how to strengthen the very foundations of our democracy: accountability, transparency, and service delivery. I made it clear that, regardless of individual outcomes, our duty remains to Lagos and to the progress of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Together, we will continue to put our hands to the plough, working tirelessly to ensure that the APC not only succeeds electorally but also delivers meaningfully for the people of Lagos. For me, this is about stewardship, about building a Lagos where opportunity, innovation, and prosperity are accessible to all. I told them, it’s time to begin intra-Political activities and galvanize support for the party in preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Took my friends beyond the Lagos Island to experience the real city. From Agege’s iconic mural walls and fresh Agege bread, to the vibes at New Afrika Shrine where Made Kuti was rehearsing live, it was pure magic. We wrapped up with amala & ewedu, then hit the streets at night for suya, markets, and that authentic Lagos energy. They came with one idea of Lagos… but left seeing a vibrant, warm, and beautiful city full of life. Mainland Lagos is different and it has so much to offer. Tomorrow: Epe.
