My heart is so full. Tonight was so awesome. The Turning Point Action Faith Coalition got to minister to almost 200 kids at a troubled and at-risk youth home. We sang Christmas songs, played games and handed out mini Jesus’, scripture cards and candy. We ended the night in prayer and hugs 😭😭😭 The kids had so much fun and so did we! Turning Point Action Coalitions

It was so much fun watching Spain and Argentina face off in the World Cup today! Earlier this week at Home Court at the Obama Presidential Center, high school soccer players and After School Matters participants got into the World Cup spirit as they joined the Chicago Stars FC for a soccer clinic and leadership discussion before watching England fall to Argentina in a nail-biter. We believe sports can help connect us all, and are a powerful force for leadership and growth, whoever you’re cheering for.

I was visiting Goa with my wife a couple of years ago. We were in this cosy little resort in South Goa right on Agonda beach, run by a middle aged Goanese couple. We had stayed there for three days and on the 4th day we drove to North Goa, walked into a bar and got drunk and so had to check in at a different hotel for the night. At 11:30 ish, the lady from the resort called us to check if we were okay and that she had waited up to see if we would return. I thanked her and assured her that everything is okay. I don’t think I have or will experience this anywhere else, and I am a fairly well traveled person. India, with all its follies, can sometimes give you the most heartwarming experiences. This was the view from our room at the resort.
