Profit overtook ethics some time ago. Those with ethics are not welcome in corporations, it is a risk to profit. Doctors are being weeded out of surgeries because they might want to make decisions in the interests of patients not the interst of profit. That's one of the benefits of AI, it can be programmed to make the best finiancial decisions with absolutely no qualms about the impact on the patients or families involved.
