My goal in this budget process has always been to make sure we’re funding core, basic services in a balanced and disciplined manner. We know there is an inherent tension between asking people to pay rates, fees and taxes— and the issue of affordability. We want to make sure our city can provide the quality-of-life services that our residents deserve, but we also want to make sure we’re putting affordability first in our community. While I worry a lot about affordability, I also worry about the ability of our city to deliver quality services without more revenue. I strongly believe that if we're not making the kinds of investments we need to make in our people and our services, we will be managing decay in Austin in a very short period of time. This budget will not meet everyone’s concept of perfection. Truthfully, there are parts of the budget that I don’t like. That goes with living in a big, diverse city—different people will have different priorities, and we need to make room for all of us. Now, it is time for us to trust our voters. Voters have an opportunity in November to make a very important decision. From my perspective, the best part of this budget is that we fully fund our homeless strategy office. That was my greatest emphasis, and we've achieved it. It will make a world of difference in getting homeless people off the street in a very short period of time. I'm also very pleased with what we’ve added to funding for public safety, EMS, and wildfire prevention. A positive vote in the November tax rate election will allow us to pay for these needed services. And we make a significant investment in our parks. I look forward to a result that will be the best benefit of our community.

The last two weeks have been some of the hardest days of Cindy’s and my life. We’re hurting, but we’re leaning on our faith, our family, and the prayers and support so many of you have shared. It truly means more than we can say. Many have asked if we plan to stay in the race for Governor. After a lot of prayer and honest conversations, we’ve decided to continue. We believe Illinois is worth fighting for, and we’re committed to moving forward — one day at a time.

For over 6 months, we've been writing a large body of work that explains the Uniswap V3 codebase. As you can imagine, this is no small piece of literature! Instead of waiting until everything is done before publishing, we decided to start releasing the portions that are finished now, rather than keep the useful alpha in the dark We will compile all the blogs into a single resource, but right now this collection of articles has no name (Uniswap V3 Book is already taken — do you have suggestions?). The first article we are publishing today is “How Concentrated Liquidity Works in Uniswap V3." This article is rich in animations and even includes an interactive widget. Of course, the bulk of the investment went into making sure we explained everything as clearly as possible. We'd like to thank Andrew and deadrosesxyz for their helpful reviews that contributed to this. More will be published in the following weeks. This is one of our biggest content investments to date. Making such an intimidating codebase digestible is a huge task, and we're excited to be at the stage where we can release some highly polished articles about it.

It’s easy for us to be filled with guilt and shame when we continually battle with sin- but that is from the enemy! We have to remember we have been forgiven. We will always struggle with sin, and God knows that- His grace covers us! He is PROUD of us for going to war with our sin- not being friends with it. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, our shortcomings and our sin will become glaringly obvious- but that’s apart of the process. Repent, learn from your mistakes, and try again tomorrow. When we align our hearts and minds towards the will of God, we cannot lose.

It's only been a day, but my sister and I are already hard at work developing the first update for our 3D customizable vtuber model!! :D This update will be a big one, so it will take a few weeks to complete. One of the things we really want to focus on first is to add more body and face customization, starting with an increased range to our chest size slider. We also added in a waist and thigh/hips slider!
