In comparison to the J&K across the border, there are dozens of medical colleges and many universities in our Jammu & Kashmir. So, you have nothing to hide except the fact that you want to get votes by keeping the issue of Jammu & Kashmir alive. If Pakistan wants to keep this issue alive, then it also suits the BJP that there are blasts and killings in Jammu & Kashmir so that they can raise Hindu-Muslim issues in the country..."

On the question of Pakistan’s support for terrorism in JnK, Khawaja Asif says: Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is indigenous and that Pakistan or its intelligence agency, the ISI, has no ties with these terrorist groups. Khawaja Asif asserted that Pakistan had supported certain terrorist groups in the past, he now claims that this support has decreased in recent years. Contrary to Khawaja Asif's claims, most terrorists neutralized in Jammu and Kashmir have been Pakistani nationals, with credible evidence indicating that some belonged to the Pakistan Army.
