Today I did my small part to uphold Western civilisation. A nice elderly Vietnamese shopkeeper tried to charge me $3 for a drink when the publicly listed price was $5. I simply politely corrected her and paid the full price. This is literally the dividing line between civilisation and barbarism. Do you correct the shopkeeper’s mistake or do you try to use it to your personal advantage? When I was a kid, I probably would never have thought about this on a deep level. But now I understand that this is literally the dividing line between Western civilisation and failed third world states like Pakistan and Lebanon where nobody trusts each other, where you constantly have to be on the look out for being scammed or taken advantage of. We have to do the right thing, we have to always uphold the highest possible civilisational standards in our personal behaviour at all times This is how we save Western civilisation

Just because they are sworn to protect, regardless of circumstances, you cannot send them to war with water pistols and later say, ‘That’s all we had,’ and apologise. If you don’t have the equipment get people who have and are experienced to do the task. Mahudhy’s death was due to the negligence of the authorities. He paid the price for following orders. Mahudhy deserves justice!
