At first glance I thought this was a dick and balls joke.

Do they think that mirrors are conveying knowledge like a person that you can hide info from? Light reflects off an object to the mirror and reflects it to the viewers eyes, circumventing the paper. How hard is that to understand?

Good for you lady for asking the question and taking a nice video of it. You can diagram this out on paper by tracing a light ray bouncing off the top of the tomato, hitting the mirror above the paper, and bouncing into your eye / camera.

This is why all basic science classes need to be mandatory. Physics I so people know basic forces and how light works. Chem I so people don't make mustard gas while cleaning the bathroom. Bio I so they have a basic understanding of genetics

Although it's not a difficult question, but it is an interesting question. I'm saying it's not difficult because it light path rules are straightforward. It is interesting because it's not that intuitive. I often hear people pretend to know the answer but when you ask them to explain it on the whiteboard they fail.
