We have had a very productive week testing the replica 1825 train. Learnt a lot and a variety of modifications required but all straightforward. The revelation is that the locomotive is very well suited to ‘eco’ coal briquettes!!

way quieter than I expected

Such a lovely machine. Heritage locomotive in its own right now given it's 50 years old.

Very true.

The nuclear renaissance is here! Enabling the transition to low-carbon energy, $NUKZ focuses on companies revolutionizing the nuclear industry, from reactor design to fuel management. Consider taking part in the renaissance.

It's beautiful isn't it. Any idea how much it could pull?

The train weight is about 16 tonnes. It has roller bearings and glides along nicely, so I estimate we could do about 10 mph with 30-40 tonnes on the back.

That's absolutely bob on Steve, love it!

Will people be in the wagons? Wondering about the tiny fire extinguishers. Sufficient size and capacity for a fire in the open?

Each waggon has a purpose which precludes passenger carrying. Water carrier, coal carrier and compressor carrier. The fire extinguishers are for any problem with a waggon, we have other means of dealing with larger fires.

Great project.

Goin to be a uk shortage of them , Gov buying everything for Scunthorpe 🤭
