After delivering a stillborn puppy, she has developed what the vets believe is a severe uterine infection. Sanctuary family, we need your prayers for our sweet girl Missy. 🐾 After discovering a lump on Missy’s belly, we brought her in for a biopsy and we learned that it is cancerous. 💔❤️ ALICE WAS RUSHED TO THE VETS AT 6AM THIS MORNING ❤️💔 Our hearts were in our mouths this morning… Thankfully, the amazing team at My Vet Lucan acted quickly and gave Alice an injection to help start labour. Without it, she would have needed an emergency C-section. Our poor girl 💔 So far, four puppies have been safely born… but Alice is absolutely exhausted. She’s still not finished, there are at least four more puppies to come. Please keep her in your thoughts, she is fighting so hard ❤️ A huge thank you to our MLHR dog manager Alex, who has stayed right by her side through everything. That love and support means more than words can say ❤️ they are still at the vets. It’s impossible not to think… what if Alice was still where we rescued her from? She would have been alone, in pain, and very possibly wouldn’t have survived. That reality breaks us and fuels our anger for all the animals out there still suffering without help 💔💔💔 But for Alice, that life is behind her now. The other day we rescued 4 donkeys… Nova was one of them. ❤️ Thanks to amazing supporters like you, we managed to cover her long transport journey from another city and finally bring her home safely after travelling all day. Nova is pregnant… and her condition is heartbreaking. Her leg is severely infected and her hoof is almost completely gone. The damage is so deep that it may never regrow properly. Because she is carrying a baby, we have to be extremely careful with every treatment, every medicine, and every step of her care. But despite everything she has suffered… there is still hope and comfort in her eyes. She is so gentle, so loving, and finally safe under our care. All 4 rescued donkeys are in extremely critical condition and will need very long treatment and care. We have to remember that she most likely had to keep herself awake as much as possible, staying on high alert because of where she was 💔💔 She’s safe now and lay down for an hour, so when getting up she struggled. We have set our life saving Daisy lift up for her, she can lean into it and when she wants we can let her lay down for a safe rest. Our UCD Veterinary Hospital team are on the way, she’s in safe hands ❤️ We have given her an Irish name, Leanbh meaning my child (pronounced “lanif”) She’s so sweet, we just want to give her the best chance, she so deserves it.
