What it has done for me is that it has energized me, it has provoked me that for the rest of my life by the Grace of God, I will live for the interest of Plateau. I will ensure that by the Grace of God what God has destined for Plateau, I will make sure that day and night I will work hard to make it a reality, that God enabling me, we will end the insecurity in Plateau. Plateau people deserve better. Plateau will become a state where people will desire to come and stay within her borders. Plateau State is trending because a lady accused locals of xenophobia and constantly telling people to “go back” to their states. The drama spilled from Facebook. MC Sleek, Uwabuji Khindawe went on a 2-mins rant insulting and labeling them prostitutes, drunkards and mocking lives lost to insecurity in the state, over the incessant xenophobia claims. Saying they keep asking non-indigenes to “go back to their states”, in a Plateau state that’s not worthy of having visitors, or investments. After people found out that she is, in fact, from Taraba State, all hell broke loose. Facebook and TikTok Plateau communities descended on her. She has now apologized and taken down the video. However, in her apology, she reiterated her position, saying she might have spoken out of frustration and used the wrong words, but she did not lie about her experience and that it was frustrating.
