Increasing attacks against the Palestinian Mission to the UK as the British Government continues to ignore requests for diplomatic protection On Saturday 18 November, 2023, at 23.05 the Palestinian Mission to the UK was attacked and vandalised. In addition to death threats, damage to vehicles and vandalism of property, this is the fourth attack in the last few weeks. All attacks and threats have been reported to the British police and the president of the State of Palestine has requested immediate diplomatic police protection to the Mission in London from the U.K. prime minister, holding the UK government responsible for the safety of the Palestinian ambassador, staff and families. Until today, the UK government has failed to provide such diplomatic protection, in line with international norms. The lack of any action by the British government, ignoring Palestinian rights and concerns, is inexplicable and unacceptable. It is the responsibility of the U.K. government to enable the Palestinian Mission in London to function unhindered. We urge, yet again, the British government to take immediate steps to ensure the security and safety of the Palestinian Mission, its ambassador and staff.

It is with great concern that I condemn the burning of the APC party offices in Bo and the attack on my motorcade yesterday in Pujehun. These acts of violence are completely unacceptable and have no place in a democratic society. I strongly urge all political parties and their supporters to refrain from engaging in violence and instead focus on conducting peaceful and respectful campaigns. Political differences should be resolved through constructive dialogue and engagement rather than resorting to violence and intimidation. I am committed to promoting unity, peace, and stability in the country. I believe that a peaceful and respectful election process is critical for the development and progress of the country. I always condemned any form of violence and will continue to do so. I call on the relevant authorities to investigate these incidents and bring the perpetrators to justice. I also urge the authorities to take measures to ensure the safety and security of all political candidates and their supporters. I urge all Sierra Leoneans to work towards a peaceful and respectful election process. Let us focus on the issues that matter most to the people and engage in constructive dialogue to find solutions to the challenges facing our country. Tommy Sheridan must face the full force of the law and we have reported him to Police Scotland and stand ready to take action to ensure that the law is enforced, should that be necessary. We are also assessing the liability of the venue that hosted this terrorist supporting lunatic and his whooping crowd of fans. Hizballah operatives have repeatedly targeted the UK. In 2015 a Hizballah bomb factory was found in London. It had manufactured three tonnes of explosives. Right now, men are on trial on charges of belonging to Hizballah and allegedly preparing an act of terrorism in the UK. Hizballah and Hamas are banned under British law. They are sworn to the slaughter of Jews anywhere in the world. Their supporters are criminals under the Terrorism Act 2000, and we will see that they are punished.

I'm deeply concerned about the recent developments in Ghana, and I urge the Ghana Police Service (Ghana Police Service) to fulfill their duties impartially and ensure that the perpetrators of vandalism are held accountable. As a concerned citizen and member of the New Patriotic Party, I believe that destruction of property under the guise of protest is unacceptable and must be condemned. The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order during protests. I implore them to take swift action and bring the culprits to justice. The youth of the New Patriotic Party will not tolerate chaos on our streets, and we expect the police to uphold their mandate to protect citizens and property. The Ghana Police Service is constitutionally mandated to maintain law and order, and it's crucial they remain impartial and committed to serving the public interest. We must work together to ensure peace and stability on our streets.

Who is supposed to implement your anti-torture obligations when those inflicting the torture have seized power, and those being subjected to torture are the country’s actual elected leaders? We asked the UN. After the video below, I, along with colleagues from our NGOs, presented cases from Pakistan to the UN Committee Against Torture (UNCAT), which is reviewing Pakistan in this cycle. In the time we had, we spoke about Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, military and civilian political prisoners, as well as Zille Shah, Iman Mazari, journalists, and social media activists. We also explained how PECA and constitutional amendments, in response to questions asked of us, are major predisposing factors to torture. The remaining affected cases were covered in our reports published on the UN website. The delegation from Pakistan will be questioned today at the UN, and the Committee will publish its findings at the close of this 84th session at the end of April. What is interesting is that we were the only NGOs speaking about Imran Khan and those named above. Talk about the elephant in the room. The other NGOs focused mainly on minority issues such as Afghan refugees and religious minorities, likely because NGOs have historically represented affected groups that are often minorities. Other than in the case of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, which most of Pakistan was not even alive to witness, it is unprecedented for a former and rightful Prime Minister, an entire political party, and journalists etc who go "out of syllabus" to be persecuted en masse. So it seems we are the first wave of organic, non-minority NGOs created to raise these issues. The main internationally recognised generic human rights groups from Pakistan were present, but not one mentioned Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, or any political prisoner. Not surprising. I cannot share too much before today’s questioning of the Pakistan delegation, but we hope the questions and recommendations we shared with the UN Committee are used - both in questioning the delegation and in the final UN report. These reports and recommendations can be presented to the Commonwealth, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, who are all actively reviewing Pakistan so that pressure can be exerted in various ways for some relief. Yes, we are not naive and know exactly what we are up against, but we firmly believe some relief is possible. It will take work. But there are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

"It's not a partner in a marriage, but a kidnap victim. And you do not escape from a kidnapper by filing for divorce from a fictional marriage. "Second, even if it were possible to break free through a referendum or an election, or to propose any other route that would be approved as lawful by the kidnapping state, the political system in Scotland would not guarantee any of the things that sing in our bones as Scots. We dream of justice, compassion, equality, prosperity and care for all without preference or privilege. "But what we have is an english system of concentrated power and privilege, which those Scots who enjoy it will not give up easily. Where the government sits in authority over the people, and the people surrender their hopes, their ambitions and their human and civil rights to the whims of their elected representatives. Where all that we hold dear, all that we depend on for decency, fairness and security, depends on the honor, honesty and good faith of those elected. We acknowledge the pain and concerns of citizens, and investigations into the matter are in full swing to ensure justice is served. 2.However, it has become necessary to address a disturbing trend arising from this incident. During a recent routine patrol by officers of Operation Delta Sweep, an individual accosted by them became unruly, questioned the lawful stop, and physically assaulted an officer by grabbing and dragging the officer's uniform. Contrary to what was being circulated, the officer involved is a member of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on official duty, not a Police Officer. 3.The State Government and all security agencies strongly condemn this act. While we understand public anger over the Oghenemine Ogidi’s incident, it must be emphasised that no citizen is permitted to take the law into their own hands, insult, or assault officers discharging their lawful duties. 4. In view of the above, we therefore warn the general public as follows: i. Desist from any form of assault, obstruction, or disrespect toward law enforcement officers. Such actions are criminal and will be met with the full weight of the law. not resort to self-help or mob action. Two wrongs do not make a right. all complaints of misconduct, brutality, or unlawful behaviour by any law enforcement agent to the appropriate authorities: the Police Complaints Response Unit, or the Office of the Director General, Security Matters. 5.We appeal for calm and urge citizens to allow the law to take its course in the Mene case. The first two man protest at the Biafra house in the US. I read comment of people calling the government to use legal action against trespassing. Biafra is a democratic government and as such we will allow any Biafran to protest, demonstrate and make video of the premises, it is part of the movement. We will therefore not sue any poor and frustrated Biafran for protesting and making videos of Biafra Republic Government in Exile office. We will only engage them when they physically assault any staff. -PM

The Uniform Civil Code is unacceptable as it goes against the fundamental rights granted in the Constitution, and it is detrimental to the unity and integrity of the country. We (Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind) have already approached the court against the decision to implement the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand with the hope of receiving justice in order to uphold the Constitution of the country, democracy, and the supremacy of law. As our Constitution guarantees Right to Freedom in article 25, 26 and 29 while recognizing the fundamental rights of citizens, and the Muslim Personal Law is also protected under the Shariat Application Act of 1937. Hence, We will not accept any law that is against Shariah. Muslims can compromise on things, but they can never compromise on their Shariah and Religion. #UniformCivilCode #UCC
