She says it’s “dehumanizing” to use the term illegal alien. No, it’s a legal distinction. It describes a foreign national who is in the country unlawfully. That’s it. We shouldn’t change reality to fit her and other’s feelings. There is a clear difference between legal and illegal immigration, and pretending there isn’t doesn’t make us more compassionate.

Today, I filed an amendment to HJR 126 that would have allowed the people of #Texas to vote on the legalization of #Cannabis. This would boost our economy, be a huge benefit for our farmers and would allow those who need it, like veterans, the opportunity to have it legally. Dan Patrick killed the amendment and has made it very clear that Texans shouldn’t have a say over cannabis. #txlege

GoodLife Fitness has issued an apology for the Kirpan incident but hasn't addressed how it's going to keep its member safe. I have spoken to many in the Sikh community, and the knife he was wielding is no Kirpan, it’s a hunting knife.
