pretty much everything about the Zero series are held back by the GBA limitation, hell, I'd imagine the Zero series would've benefit on anything but the GBA. But its a miracle that the Zero series are still great.

I'm probably alone in this one, but I also enjoy how the songs sound on GBA. Something about crunch and high pitch just works for me

Zero/ZX has some of the best music in the franchise. Modding in the remastered soundtrack for all 6 games on the legacy collection was magical.

"Held back" is harsh, id prefer flourished in a different light cuz of how unique the gba instrumentation is, like listen to final countdown, the gba ver. has its own charm

people do not give the zero series enough credit for its ost. i'd argue 3 and 4 have some of the best tracks in the entire franchise. i feel like the gba limitations really just add to the charm of the soundtrack too tbh

The Z4 music is genuinely legendary the second you take it out of its confining medium. Truly the conclusion of the original megaman story

Everytime. EVERYTIME this gives me the chills. This music is so powerful. This remaster track with the audio drama is PERFECTION! The goosebumps I get when I hear Zero's declaration and Ciel screaming are so strong. Perfect end for my fav game series.
